Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

It took me a while to get a lower FBG after a fast day. For quite a few weeks the morning after would be higher than after a normal day. My uneducated guess for this was that it took time to use up all the glucose stored in the liver and other body tissues, and until it is all gone your body will use it in response to the fast.

I'm not sure. It dropped quite a bit last week after fasting. Lowest FBG was 4.9. Clearly, there are no hard and fast rules. Anyway, since being on LCHF & IF I have a lot more energy, sleep better and just feel generally better. Perhaps it is just a placebo effect - who knows.

4.8 this morning. Have not had this low for a very long time. Every morning I feel I had to test so I can report my fbg. I am sure a lot of people feel the same way too, just trying to keep our spirits high even though some days are not as good as others. Have a good day.
