I found I had relaxed a little over Christmas and carb intake was a little higher than expected - started to seriously count them again and my numbers have been coming down. Under 40g seems to keep me in the 5s.

How was your FBG today?

Woke at 4am, couldn't get back to sleep, mooched around the house and discovered half a box of chocolate brandy liqueurs left over from Christmas. Experienced a total loss of control and scoffed the lot.
Went back to bed. Tested at 7am. 9.2.
I am deeply ashamed...

( 146 grams of carbs yesterday .. metabolism going down due to lowered levothyroxine maybe thats why my liver produces less glucose than usual but then maybe I´ll not be able to loose weight even on 1000 calories a day )
