Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Morning from a chilly n rainy Newcastle. BG is 5.0 today (Tuesday.) Christmas "do" last night, so feeling a tad delicate. The red wine kept my numbers acceptable following my food overindulgence. Good for the soul, if not the body.

4.9 this morning! :pI hope it's not just a freak reading lowest so far by a distance (usually 5.8-6.5ish)...two bitter melon capsules at 6pm along with my Gliclazide - the only difference. Hmm...:shy:.

Well done, but don't get disheartened if it is not repeated every day.

I found that I started getting a reading in the 4's once a week for a few weeks, then it became twice a week, and now after a couple of months I maybe get three a week.

It's a long road, but as long as you are moving forwards you must stay positive.

Morning All

5.4 this morning. About to embark on a 500 mile round trip to repatriate my daughter from Portsmouth University.

Planning on an overnight stay, Indian meal this evening and full cooked breakfast tomorrow, together with a couple of service station snack lunches.

Likely to be a bit downhill for a while.....
