Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Hello folks. I'm happy with my 5.1 FBG this morning. Actually expected it to be higher following a rubbish nights sleep due to sore eyes following diabetic eye screening yesterday. Have a good day everyone. Best wishes & good health. X

Crumbs, had my eye screening yesterday. Eyes very sore and feeling a little low, found fluid in my eyes. Don't know what it means though. 7.4 this morning, before breakfast. 1 hour after, 18.4. All I had was a bowl of porridge, no topping at all.

porridge is almost as bad as sugar and bread and potatoes... a much better breakfast would be bacon and eggs , or omelet with mushrooms and tomato and cheese... or just half an avocado... or cheese rolles in ham ....
instead of bread you could also eat LIDLs protein rolls they hardly have got any carbs in them. so wont spike your blood glucose... try eating like that just for a few days and you´ll find your blood glucose wont spike that high, and you will also help your health, and coffee or tea with cream ..

4.2 again today. Starting with a cold today - which isn't surprising as a child sneezed straight into my mouth on Monday (I LOVE teaching Nursery - I really do - but life with lots of little "super spreaders of disease" is pretty tough at times)

Have booked flu jab for Saturday at the GP - another romantic diabetic date with my Hubby :D
