I can't remember the last time I did a FBG but did this morning following a day of just shakes. Result 4.8 so around what I would have expected, so I'm a happy bunny.

My meter is an Accu Chek.

5.7 this morning for me. I can get it lower or into the 4's. First if I eat earlier and I dont snoop around for bits of fruit late at night

7.0 on Codefree so I'm taking that to be a 6.0 really Was a good girl yesterday, except for having a Crunchie bar in the evening. Felt sick after it.

Not sure if it's as a result of low carbing or the metformin, but I've noticed that now, whenever I do eat anything sugary or sweet, I feel nauseous about an hour afterwards. It's not a bad thing, it puts me off wanting to bother at all with anything sweet. I don't even crave the Crunchies, it's more that it was a habit with an evening cuppa that I haven't fully eliminated.

Had a bad week for me - high 5s and even a 6.2! and I don't really know why, 'cos last night I finished off the spicy mince with lentils that gave me the 6.2, but got 5.2 this morning :?: .

My reading 5.1 this morning after an early dinner and fruit plus yoghurt which spiked me to 7.6 at about 8pm last night :shock:
Glad its come down to levels I aim for.
would prefer the 4's, achievable, but more discipline needed.

Thank you. My BG is always between 4.4-6.0. It's taken quite a bit of work and weight loss to get it there, but now it's low and steady it's well worth it.

Grace, the ick feeling after naughty foods are because your body is used to running at lower levels now, so gives you hell when you run higher. It's like a false hypo in reverse.

had salads, boiled egg, and salsa y'day. last night a small bowl fruit with yoghurt, or it might have been lower.

Discovered I was overweight this morning then had a mug of coffee and became obese again. Isn't BMI wonderful?

8.0 this morning ... yesterday I ate egg mayo on crackers, low carb soup high in proten and veg, but early evening I had a Crunchie, a a banana, strawbs and just before bedtime, an avocado - and I drank about 200ml of wine yesterday. More carbs than I'd have in a normal day. I don't normally do the banana or wine but really fancied a change this week.

8.0 for me today. Am eating very low carb but did have a small bowl of fruit cocktail with cream about an hour before bed last night. Before I ate that my BS was 6.8 and I felt peckish for summat sweet. :roll: Not perfect but I'm getting to know what I can tolerate and also WHEN I can tolerate certain things.
