5.4 at 07:30. For some reason I'm in the 5s first thing at the moment, though I usually manage mid 4s or a bit lower by mid afternoon.
It's a beautiful day here today, despite a -2C start, and I'm just going to stagger to the post box - my exercise for the day!
Was feeling really down a couple of hours ago, but met my GP's great big hairy Wolfhound, had a hug and got lots of sticky kisses - all better now!

9 this morning and 6 2 hours after breakfast (did I mention how much I hate breakfast). Ate too much and had a few beers yesterday so expected.

Fasting-7.1 then had a small tin of baked beans/toast and it rose to 10.7 after two hours.

6.5 this morning - higher than I would like but after being ill when my BGs shot up to 10.7 I'm glad its heading back down in the right direction.h

4 weeks on Metformin, down from 22 when diagnosed to 14 this morning. Long way off good, but it's an improvement.

Bigskip that's great seeing your numbers come down.
On a LC diet it will get better and better.
Mine is a bit high this morning. Im usually in the low 5's. Sometimes I have 4's when Im very strict with what I eat.
I registered 6.2 today, due to a cold now for two days.
It will get better as soon as I get rid of it.

Quite higher than I would like at 8.3 before breakfast of bacon and poached eggs plus a 500mg metformin tab. Then 7.8 2hrs after.

By being lower after breakfast than before, it shows you were probably under the influence of Dawn Phenomenon when you took your initial reading. DP is the hardest test to control, so very well done on your +2 reading.

I will have to take the test when I wake up then again just before breakfast to see how much of a difference my liver makes. Is there any way of minimising it's affects?
Why is it called the Dawn phenomenon and not just the 'morning phenomenon'? I rarely ever see the dawn.Defren said:

Its was 9.0 this morning but, I went down the loacal last night and had a couple of beers with a steak and chips and didn't do my drugs ... naughty boy :lol:
Its usually around 8 give or take in the morning. Can get as low as 5's if I've exercised first.
