It could help you to keep a food diary. Perhaps you need to weigh your portions and keep.a record of how this affects your weight. There are a number of spreadsheet available and apps for this. Or the old fashioned way still works !.Well i have to lose weight as well as keeping my blood sugar down......wasnt told anything by the diet nurse only to eat sensibly. it went up to 9.7 last night, felt bad, my fault as i ate what i shouldnt have........totaled 120 carbs yesterday. So i guess it was too much. Will do better today.
I can see where i have made some mistakes. Due to keeping a food diary of what i eat, weight, calories, fat and carbs app on my phone. So from today i hope to see a change.......fingers crossed. It could help you to keep a food diary. Perhaps you need to weigh your portions and keep.a record of how this affects your weight. Pre lunch down to 6.3Bloods at 11am 11.4my breakfast could have been a better choice than yesterdays x
5g of carbohydrates per 100g is the target. Not always achievable in fact it's hard to do. Always read the label and keep as low as you can.. some on here only have 50g carbohydrate a day. I aim for around 100ish but not anal about it. Depends on my meter reading before I eat.
Entirely agree.Personally, I don't use a target range of carb per 100g as it just seems a bit too rigid and potentially unhelpful to me. I tend to think about what it is I am considering eating and as well as the amount for 100g, I consider how much of that foodstuff/drink I would actually be consuming. An example might be considering a condiment that might be 30g per 100g, but in reality, if I am considering consuming a teaspoonful of that substance, within the context of a meal, it's going to be so much less than the 30g headline amount. If those couple of carbs would impact in the enjoyment of my meal, I would have it.
Hope you get over your cold soon.
I spent a long time at the health club last night, not exercising this time but sweating away in the steam room and sauna and this seems to have done the trick.
It actually reminded me of when I was little and had a cold. My grandmother used to boil eucalyptus leaves in a pan placed on a heater in my room and let the steam & eucalyptus scented vapor fill the room.
Maybe she knew what she was doing!

@ Mike D as eucalyptus trees come from Down Under, any similar experiences or is this use just a Cyprus thing?
Not on statin. I need to increase salt intake, it was half what myfitness pal said it should be, but not sure how right now.Are you on a statin at all. One of the adverse side effects can be cramps. If so you should ask to be swapped to a different statin that suits you better.
Ally I really think you might need a bedtime snack, something light, but that will protect you from a dump.alliebee, no idea why it was so high, after my tea, i didn,t have anything else to eat
5,3 on this rather grey looking morning

Still warm enough to walk outside in a tee shirt though
Have a great day
Eucalyptus trees are getting to be quite rare in Nicosia, they grow too big for most people's rather small gardens.
Lots of acacias though, which I understand also originated from Australia.

I am in the middle of my walk as I write and just walked past one.
