5.2 this morning :) Just got my HbA1c result and it's gone down slightly... 6.4% so that's better than going upwards. My doc is impressed that I've now kept my levels under 7% constantly since being on insulin. Now if I can only get my iron levels where they should be.

oh not good :( Just from my experience Lucy... years back when I was hitting 7+'s every morning on just diet and exercise I got flustered and upset as I was trying very hard. My doc said it was time I needed help and put me on oral meds which began to bring my numbers down... including fasting BGL. Although is the morning BGL your highest of the day? If so, you may be one of those people that gets dreaded liver dump during the early hours of the morning... actually I think most of us get to experience this at some point if not on a regular basis.

PS>>> thanks Didie and Xyzzy.... with all my health stuff going on it is nice to get a positive result at least. I know there is always room for improvement, but the main thing is I'm a lot better than I used to be. In fact this result is probably the best I've ever had since being diagnosed. I can't complain. :D

Not posted in ages so here goes

10.8 woke up bed sheets soaking with sweak again!!!

Never had test strips in a long time so bought some from ebay to have a look at whats going ons o guess thats not good.

Have to admit im rebelling at the moment and not took my glucophage for 2 weeks and think i'm paying the price

Thing is My HBA1c has never been over 6.9 even on first diagnosis back in 2008 so got it in my head that i really didnt need to start the drugs in 2010 and that "they" were wrong so decided to have a go without think i may have been wrong?

Didn't wake up until 9.00am so the DP damage had been done by then! That is an advantage of working for yourself and mostly at home as the commute time between bed and office is around 30 seconds. The disadvantage is you tend to end up working very late
