I'm sure blackberries are the good guys, just not when you eat a large punnet
I wouldn't dare eat any pastries - my liver doesn't like me and would make me suffer the consequences!

Thanks for the tip.

I'll try with egg. I'm OK on dairy & gluten. Feel sry for those that aren't.

Fasting was 6.9 and pre-dinner 7.2 so not so bad for me. Btw blackberries mmmm

Thanks for the reassurance - it's much appreciated. Went to a work event today only to be surprised by a Christmas dinner laid out. I did have a couple of glasses of red wine plus the turkey, sprouts and carrots (and a couple of pigs in blankets) but only had a tiny piece of parsnip and the roast potatoes were untouched (had to explain why to some of my colleagues). Had half a teaspoon of the pudding which looked very nice but it was clearly far too sweet.

Balanced this by walking to and from the local train station (3 miles in total) and being on my feet outside for much of the day, not to mention slogging through the London rail and Tube system. Only had 200 calories before lunch and no supper required this evening.

I think part of my testing problem is pathetic blood droplets so am going to try harder on that front tomorrow!

Me too Mike... I had a couple of low readings in the beginning.. but it doesn't seem to matter what I go to bed on.. I see to rise on a rise lol and then it spends all day lowering

Yep ..... walking the same path here Good luck Kez

Make that three of us .My Endo told me to aim for 6 and no lower last week.Just as Allie was told .I was told new studies show it's as harmful to be too low as too high .Chance would be a fine thing but I was getting the pep talk before starting my Insulin.

I think insulin users are different because of the threat of hypos.

Well I have been naughty tonight. We had a Chicken Byryani and yoghurt followed by Apple Crumble. It just felt sO right....like a blooming teenage romance. But seemingly no consequences......
Just look at the numbers;
6.5 pre dinner 7.0 2 hours later
After Apple Crumble and custard 1.5 hours later 6.5
I don't understand it but maybe just maybe something functioning a bit better.
6.5

88mg/dl or 4,88 mmol/l this morning

Weighed myself at 87,7 kg, this is a loss of 14,3 kg or 31,5 pounds over the last three months

That green healthy BMI band is getting ever closer
