5.7 this morning. Seems DP is really kicking a** about now. I used to always be in the 4's.

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn

isn't 5.7 considered a "normal" level tho?

when's your HbA1c due?

Yes, it's not a bad figure, but when you are used to 4's it's not good. HbA1c fasting blood test in the morning 9am sharp!

good luck!

Thank you. I should get the results a week tomorrow, so will post them once I have them. I am really teetering on a 4, but am almost certain it's going to be in the 5's. I am guessing around a 5.5. I would love to be wrong and it be lower, but I don't think it will be, not this time.

Well since you kindly offered me a sample to cheat at my hba1c test the least I can do is offer you mine in return  No -- that would actually have given you a 6.5, so I don't think you'd be talking to me any more. I'm sure all those weeks of spectacular 4s will keep your hba1c nice and low. And it's kind of you to run a few 5s on purpose just to make the rest of us feel better...

Yes what's that all about Jo. Back in April I was waking up low to mid 4's but the past few weeks its's gone back to high 5's and yesterday at 9.00am was 6.9 Wouldn't let it get to you though. Good news today though was 4.9 :D . Good luck with the hBA1!

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn

5.3 pre-bed.

5.2 this morning.

Result of a carb heavy tea, had the intentions of a walk post 1 hr to accommodate it but it never happened due to rain.

No idea Steve but I'm not a happy bunny. Today was 6.1. I am going to sit down and go through all my charts and see what's happening. There has to be a reason somewhere, but I can't see it. I am eating around 60g of berries a day as those and Greek yogurts are one of my favourite meals and I do tend to have it every day. Maybe that is going to have to stop?

Had the blood work drawn today, appointment with GP is next Wednesday 9am for the results. Gonna be a long week

Well done getting back into the 4's.

I have been keeping BG records consistently for the last year. There have been lots of times when my blood glucose reading has gone up without any obvious reason. There have been other times when it has come down and been lower than I would have expected. I did worry about it - until I realised what the reason is. I am a human not a machine and humans are inherently variable things - simples!

Agree we are all very different and not robots, but this soon after the ND and I did it properly, no cheats apart from the 3 I documented, this should not be happening. I would go back onto the ND for a month, but I am really not sure my weight would allow it. I may try for two weeks and see what happens, but my BG's should not be moving the way they are, certainly not so quickly post diet. I am going to play around and see what I can do. I may do a couple more weeks on the ND I may have to cut out dairy, I just don't know at this point.

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn

14.1 this morning at 6am... but that's VERY early for me.

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn

Still riding higher than norm, self inflicted and I know why so no real issue :D

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn
