Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Thank you for your post, it gives me hope that I can one day reach my dream of being a runner I will have a look at the websites mentioned and plan accordingly. Do you have special running shoes? I have a pair of normal trainers which will do for the walking stage.

I have kept this post to encourge me, plus remind me as sometimes fibromyalgia fog kicks in and I don't remember anything! Sometimes even my name which is embarrassing!
I think it is amazing that you have a dream and you're willing to work hard for it... Each journey starts with a small step - especially yours it seems... :) keep it in sight but don't rush it... I hope the FM stays away while you're walking to your goal.... good luck @peony50...

I really don't want to post today. I did well yesterday, even with a lunch out and a random hot cross bun. Then, in the evening my neighbour called. Her husband had just gone into hospital and I knew she needed company. I went over for a cup of tea and ended up sampling her granddaughters Easter candy. It wasn't even that tasty. So today, 6.7. Well deserved but hopefully the last fasting six.

We live and learn, tomorrow is another day. ☺

What don't you like about a cooked breakfast? Is it the cooking of it, that it's hot or what's actually in it?
For me its not just the cooking (I dont have the time with 5 dogs to feed, or the energy or inclination first thing) its wondering what to have for dinner if I have a cooked breakfast...my dinners are often "cooked breakfast" ingredients .....

I thought I was busy with three labs, (my original girl, a foster puppy, slated to be a service dog, and one who flunked out on medical grounds). Are your five all shepherds or do you have a variety?

All Rescue Shepherds who stayed for one reason or another....plus my granddog, a Westie who's on his Easter hols.....

What did you have for breakfast Robbity, its the meal I struggle with the most cause don't like cooked breakfast and yogurt with fruit and seeeds is not enough
@loulou99782 :
I had a little dish of mixed roasted nuts - I make them in the microwave with a little walnut oil and a sprinkle of salt; they take about 3-4 minutes to do. I have all different sorts of stuff for breakfast depending on what I fancy when I get up or what's quick and easy from the fridge if I can't be bothered. And I don't stick to conventional breakfasty type food, which makes life much easier.

I am allergic to nuts coconut and dairy. I am OK with cooked meat and dairy alternatives in a morning but do like something warm

Just tried that with some cashews in almond oil.
3mins.
Stunk the kitchen out and cracked the ramikin pot!

Opps not a good idea try plastic or microwaveable pots next time you use the microwave. Nuts are poison
But surely a pot ramekin dish is ok in the microwave?
The oil was extremely hot as was the dish!

Oh dear - am I in the doghouse now?:(:(

I use a 4" mini flan dish ( microwave safe of course...:p - but it gets pretty hot and it does need an oven glove to handle it ) so they're spread out a bit, with just a tiny slosh of oil - enough to coat them. How much oil did you use, Jack?

I think the original recipe I got the idea from used a plate.

Half a teaspoon?
Handful of nuts in ....

Cold ham (or other cold meats) and cheese is very continental style of brekkers.
