Good morning everyone. I'm back from our holiday in Scotland with the following morning fasting results:
Saturday after a night in a hotel and a meal out: 6.3
Sunday 5.3
Monday 5.7
Tuesday 5.7
Wednesday 5.2 (lowest ever)
Thursday 5.4
Friday 5.8
Saturday 5.8
This morning 5.3
Really chuffed, also delighted with the pre and post prandial readings I took as they were significantly lower than normal. Average peak was 6.6. At one point I was sure my meter was broken!
Good to see quite a few improvements from you all.![]()
8.2 this morning, but I think I messed up last night.
I was hungry just before going to bed, so I ate a banana.........apparently not a good move.![]()
We missed you titty!!

Welcome back!We live and learn!Bananas are one of the worst things to eat. They are instant sugar, which is why you see tennis players eating them between games. Try some cheese if you are hungry before bed, although I find a glass of water does the trick.
I'm at a loss to understand why you would eat that. Surely you knew what the outcome would be.ahhh, well, uhmmmm. 7.4 at8:30am. Well I did treat myself to a Chinese last night - half a carton of rice.kebooom.
Welcome back!
I'm glad you mentioned the water because I find that helps me and wondered about posting about it. I'm having a rest from testing because I was sent home from work on Thursday and told to rest. I've been getting little sleep due to work load and have had a coule of panic attacks, which I don't normally suffer from. I'm awaiting results of thyroid and ECG tests.

So, in your view, what were the differences (aside from a lack of internet and phone) were there on holiday that could have impacted on your scores?
You must be very happy.
Why is hand gel bad? I use it all the time.I used to test in bed using hand gel to clean first but apparently that's bad
