Had 4 mince pies earlier. No rise at all BUT it was homemade mincemeat and pastry made with soya flour. "Interesting" side effect - soya flour is made wth soya beans, right, and beans have a certain reputation ......was home alone ;), apart from dogs.

Well you can still blame the dogs then ...

5.9 this Monday morning, still don't seem to be able to string three days at 5.5 or less together, but average is slowly coming down - 5.6 over the last two weeks.

5.7 today. Had a very early dinner last night and a small smack on return. That seems to help. Quiz night tonight so I'd better get up and start getting ready now. ( I go with two stunning transgender ladies who put me and my whiskery chin to shame !)

Was it the 2 transgender ladies who gave you the smack? :hilarious:;);)

Lol... I really can't see when I first get up.. Not got into habit yet of accepting I need my reading glasses on. My distance is perfect but close up is a blur - trouble is I put my readers on and I could be missing Hugh Jackman smiling at me as I can't see a bloomin thing beyond my nose.

They just find it interesting ;)

Well I've just done my 2hrs after dinner test, and it's just so slightly up at 7.8.

What I fail to understand is why I can keep my after meals levels pretty flat and usually within non-diabetic guideline targets, when my pre-meal levels are now generally so lousy....

Robbity

Presumably your after meals are fairly flat because you have low carbs therefore nothing to cause a spike. Are you snacking between meals? Are your levels up in the 7's all day, or do they drop at all then go up again? Maybe some extra testing between meals may find the problem. Just a thought.
I had this problem a few months ago with my morning levels and pre-lunch. I sorted it by getting out of bed an hour earlier, thus leaving a longer gap before lunch.

Awww, but it's not a BAD number....
True...get carried away sometimes....you just think if you have been on the straight and narrow you would get a 5 or something just for being good. I know its more complex then that. Thanks for the support!

What do you call your quiz team?

6.2 this morning even though had some rice and lamb curry (big meal !).

And didn't go for my usual walk either.

Happy Days :-)
