5.3 am
Slept in this morning, took buzzer out yesterday as up at 05:00 and forgot to put it back.... arrghhh....:banghead:

8.3 this morning  hope you all have a great start with your BS today :)

Huge apologises guys, I posted on type 2 and well I'm sure you know the rest, doh lol (it should be on the other one, I'm not type 2) Sometimes I should not be charge of my self :rolleyes:

Morning All, from a disgustingly cold and cloudy and damp and 57% rain probability Brumm...

FBG back to normal -for me- 5.4 mmol/l following a fat and protein splash yesterday.
Subsequently the Ketostik reading was 0.5 mmol/l which is still OK on Dapagliflozin.
Have a g'day everyone;-)

Thats ok Robinredbreast ..what should it matter what type we are we are all fighting the same disease

morning all. 5.6 on a bright sunny morning. 3 mile stagger through the park and beef broth for breakfast.
Hi dunelm!
I am myself quite a fan of broths, scotch, chicken, beef, so I was wandering if you cook it or it's canned (Baxters, Heinz, etc)?
Take care:-)

5.0 today :)

There is a real stigma around T2, that we've caused our own disease by reckless diet and laziness. I found this article very empowering, even had to share it with Mr Al when he was doubting me :banghead:

Hi Alzebra,
Good article indeed, loads of useful information.
I hope this abusive attitude towards people with T2 diabetes will change, but we have to stand up for ourselves and reject even the subtle hints by anyone trying to blame us for this plague.
My mother was born in 1945, she suffered from hunger all her childhood, I was born into a maternity ward where I contacted dysenteria which left me with life long sequels. I had severe lack of vitamin D and other hormone related problems. I grew up in one of the most polluted Eastern European industrial cities, started to lose my teeth when I was 13, never been a big eater, but been always fat.
I've been misdiagnosed by incompetent people who didn't even bother veiling their disgust for the sweaty pig in front of them, not knowing that I sweat because my body cannot regulate temperature otherwise.
Yet I took matters in my own hand after diagnose in March and after finding this forum, lost nearly 10 Kg and keep a regimental life style hoping to still raise my children keeping my limbs and sanity:-)
Rant over;-)

T2 and PROUD!

Moshe

High (for me) fasting BG of 7.1 at 9 am - a couple of hours after waking up. I spent the intervening time on text and email celebrating the overnight birth of my new grand-nephew! :D Even the BG levels can't spoil my mood today!

Congratulations Larissima:D:D:D

Hi there Baruney, the house arrest was simply that, you were supposed to stay inside your house for three days. You would be free do do as you please, make love, make war ,whatever. As Merrylizard correctly said, the 2 year sentence means ...........

Also, who in their right mind would even entertain banning you from posting here for 72 hours. I for one rely on your keen english sense of humour to start my day on the right foot.

By the way I said "Spare the stick, spoil the child." and not "stick the finger' and in my very old fashioned
english there is a great difference.
Oh I thought it was that I wasn't allowed to post my fasting levels for 72 hours but still allowed to comment. So I'll just have to take back everything I've said in the last few days and tread carefully from here on in as the carb police are out there!

Hi @MosheBenYehuda I make my own. Traditional Jewish chicken soup and a slow cook beef bone broth. I also make Japanese Ramen and have it without the noodles. Well worth the effort. We usually gobble the chicken soup or ramen in a couple of days but I put the beef broth jelly into ice cube trays and freeze to make instant cup-a-soup or chuck in some veg..
