So I got sent by amazon a free sample.
Was dubious because the carbs slightly higher than normal. But today thought I’d try it.

And I’m seriously impressed. Started off 8.0 ended up bang on 2 hours later 5.6.

Now the 8 I think was slightly elevated anyway so whether that made a difference. But my levels dropped instead of rising.

Hi. Be a bit careful. Polyols can cause you to go to the toilet a lot and still have half the carb value relative to their weight. As long as your meter readings stay OK then the bar may be useful.

Oh one of those free samples was lying on my doormat when I got home from holiday earlier this week. Just looked at the packet. Was it tasty enough to be worth using the 7g net carbs it contains?

It was quite nice. Think I prefer the carb killas (mostly mint one) but I’d eat again.

It was the 7g that worries me but doesn’t seem to have done anything. If I get again will check again as not sure my sugars are doing anything they should today.

Yep only have 1.
Don’t seem to affect me toilet wise.

I was tempted to have it just now with my afternoon coffee however I have a cold and sore throat which is messing with my blood sugars so wouldn’t be a fair test today. My fav Carb Killa is the minty one too :hungry:

What's a carb killa plese?

Be wary of bars like this. Some can eat them fine. Others have bad digestive side effects others still get spikes, not always at 2hrs either. Which sugar alcohol being used is relevant so get your magnifying glass out and check the ingredients.

Maltitol is often the worst for gut reaction and spikes and sadly also the most common used. Occasionally it’s erythritol which is fairly safe for most, or sucralose somewhere in the middle.
