Does anyone find even veggies can create cravings/ hunger?

Sometimes I wonder about this especially in the morning. I seem to do better with hardier veggies like mushrooms, asparagus or green beans as opposed to lighter ones like broccoli, bok choy or lettuce as examples. I LOVE salads but seem to make me continuously eat. And they are topped with protein and fat always.

I kind of find this with proteins too. I LOVE fish but do better with heavier oily fish like tuna or salmon. Dark poultry vs white and lamb fairly often.

Wondering if I have company in this thought/ feeling

I'm far, far better with a coffee and double (heavy) cream in the morning. Nothing else. Once I start eating, it seems to provoke a hunger response that I blame on 50 years of yo-yo dieting. It's like a light is switched on and I'm searching around for the next meal. My troubled relationship with food has improved drastically, thanks to LCHF, but may never be completely resolved. I'll take what I have and be so glad, though. Much better now and I anticipate further improvement. :D

Not sure about veggies 'creating' hunger, I think it's that they don't sometimes satisfy hunger or maybe just don't fill you. I'd agree about what you describe as 'hardier' veg as I can't eat as many of them as the lighter veg before feeling pretty well stuffed, though to me broccoli would fall into the 'hardier' category as it seems to fill me quite well.
There's probably a good scientific explanation along the lines that some veggies take longer to break down in the digestive system and make one feel full longer.

I prescribe more fat on the veg. ;)

Seriously though, are you eating enough to satisfy? Veg fills a space, but I don't find it satisfying like I do protein and fat.

I'm the same, I will only eat fish if I have eaten a lot that day. if I have a light lunch then I'm having steak, avocado and eggs...Not a disaster :)

I completely agree and wish I could have heavy cream and coffee. No dairy for me and I need to eat bf or my bs just keeps rising. Generally it's half and avocado with a slice of deli turkey. That holds me from 8 until 3 with maybe a few nuts at noon.
I agree, once I start eating it turns on the hungrier no matter what it is but definitely needs fat. I was always ravenously hungry no matter what my macros were. Then I discovered the miracle of avocado. I have half at bf and split the other half between lunch and dinner. The fat and fiber satisfy me and keep bs low and slow which helps the hungries but doesn't eliviate them. I COULD / CAN always eat, even when sick. I don't of course but I could

My diet is 80% fat. Without that much with meals and snacks I would be starving all day!! I have to keep carbs under 20g a day or the hungries are there too. I eat most of my veggies at dinner. Usually just avocado and protein and a drizzle of oil with a very small amount of chopped onion, scallion or radish. Maybe some celery slices for the avocado.

I wonder if people eat veggies with all their meals?

After I thought about this I most often have frozen broccoli rather than fresh and by the time I steam it it's much less dense than fresh. Fresh doesnfill me up.

Steak, avocado and eggs. Nothing better than that! Except maybe lamb chops!!

Some people use coconut oil rather than cream in coffee.
Wish I could. Coconut anything makes me break out in hives. The only other options are ghee or butter.
I know I need to eat in the morning or I rise so wondering if this would be enough. Might have to try it someday but I think I'd miss my avocado!!!

I'm having lamb chops this evening! Lovely.

I bought a hogget - an older lamb, and have found the meat very tasty. I have a real butcher just around the corner and they cut up the meat to the sizes I require, pack label and freeze the meat. I have had whole pigs in the past and plan to get one again in the next few weeks. I do have a large freezer which makes it easy to store such large amounts, but it means that I always have something for dinner.
