Thank you for those words of encouragementGood luck on your blood tests results would imagine they are going to be much improved after sticking to your plan. We all look forward to seeing your achievements.
You’ve also been amazing supporting and encouraging everyone here - you well deserve your efforts to bring blood glucose results. My bgs improved before my weight got there think the lower they are the easier it is to lose weight so it’s a win win situation as they go down.
Fantastic!145 Lb this morning slightly lower than las week. by 2 Lb or so.
Well done that's brilliant! Nearly at your goal, which I'm confident you will achieve! I don't really know if my GP measures yet - its early days for me, but I certainly am. You'd think they would wouldn't you?Morning all. 11 Stones 12.4 Pounds Body fat 18.2 - lost 1 pound since my official Wednesday weigh in. Aiming for bmi of 22 @ 11 stone 9 and waist to height ratio under .5. Target date for that is June at latest.
My GP or DN never measure waist or mention waist to height ratio, anyone else have more clued up medical professionals?
You may not have lost Rachel.... but you've not gained either by the look of your post - celebrate that! Your body is perhaps just adjusting - don't give up.I haven’t lost anything this week, not sure why not
So I’ll share some other good news instead; after volunteering at Cancer Research UK’s call centre since I retired from nursing in 2016, this week I was offered a paid position, I start next week!
Started 115kg 9th May’17
Today 82.2kg 9th March’18
Total lost = 32.8kg/5stone 2lb
Well done, that's brilliant93kg 0,5 kg down from last friday
1/2 lb is still 1/2 lb - equivalent toa block of butter - which is fantastic!!! Keep up the good work!Hi all 1/2 lb off this week, it’s really slowing down
Good attitude, I'm sure your results will show you reward - hope you arthritis doesn't cause you too much trouble when you increase your exerciseMy weight loss has ground to a halt now so I’ve had to go through next week’s meal plan and try to cut the calories down. I walked for 20 mins today and am going to try to keep that up, arthritis permitting now it’s getting a bit warmer.
That's brilliant, well done!13 stone 5lb today. Started on 6th January this year on lchf weighing 15 stone 5lb so feeling optimistic. I sorted out my jeans yesterday and have put 5 pairs in a bag for the charity shop.
Well done mo53:Good morning 148lbs last week 147lbs this week. So a loss of 1lb.
I am trying my best to gain weight whilst keeping my bgs okDifferent weight loss methods work for different people carty: I lost 5 stone with weight watchers several years ago (before piling it all back on again after becoming a helper & getting sloppy about how I portioned things out) - & when I tried again I wasn't in the right head space - I think that's the most important thing really, you have to be focused and be prepared to weather the ups and downs. For me I've found the blood sugar diet a real inspiration - & believe it will not only help me lose weight but also reduce my hba1c results. Also, I've always begrudged the fact that I have to pay for someone to weigh me & the literature etc changes all the time so you have to keep purchasing new books. I know people who've found Weight Watchers & Slimming World great, but I prefer Michael Mosley's blood sugar diet. I wish you good luck & whatever you decide you'll have support here
@Goonergal the "difficult second album" period. The body does seem to adjust, almost as if it says "if this is what I am going to be fed I will just have to adapt!", so have decided to,keep going as I am for a few weeks and then reassess.
How are you getting on @TTTE ?To be honest I wasn't too bothered about my weight until I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic and then through this forum realised that my weight was a contributing factor to my condition. I decided to make a conscious effort to loose weight and was told by a work colleague about the Samsung Health app on my phone. Through this you can record various things such as sleep, walking steps, blood sugar, weight and loads of other stuff related to your health. I thought I would start recording my weight through this app, so each morning I stepped on the wife's electronic scales
Here was the first problem. Her scales were designed with the soft delicate female form in mind, so they don't record weight above 120kg. However I took this as a challenge, and through sensible diet and sheer will power 3 weeks ago the scales finally abandoned their misogynist outlook on life and acknowledged my existence at 120.2kg
Weight has been steadily decreasing ever since and yesterday I weighed in at 115.9kg. My plan is to initially get down to 100kg by which time I hope to be in a routine with regards to continuing the weight loss lifestyle and senior management's scales will continue to acknowledge my existence
