Arh. Here it is. So very little weight loss on my new insulins.I'm doing low carb low fat with xenical tablets.
I've lost again.
Since tuesday this week I've lost 1.4kgs.
So I'm 128.50kgs now. I'm delighted I'm losing properly for a change!
Basal insulin keeping me from liver dumps throughout the day. Only taking 15-20units of novarapid when I eat.
Sometimes I skip a meal as basal carrying me over.
I'm getting closer and closer to my target weight loss for bariatric surgery.
That is superb. Well done Polgara!Another 1.8kg down this week - that's 20.6kg in total (just over 3 stones)
Dietician must be right. I can lose another stone. Fingers crossed.
I might not need surgery at this rate!!!
I bet when you stop xenical/orilstat I'd just put weight back on?
Still have huge tummy. Well I'm not surprised I am 20sts.
I'm not sure about both. You are doing brilliantly -Can you only take the xenical for a limited time? If you eat low fat as well as low carb then whilst your loss might not be as rapid - surely you won't put back on.
I haven't posted on this thread before but here goes. At my annual health check at the end of April (when my diabetes was discovered) I weighed 115kg. Now 6 weeks later, on Metformin and a low carb diet I'm 103.8kg. I've lost 1 stone 10lbs in old money!
My diabetes diagnosis was a shock but it's been the kick up the bum I needed to improve my health in general
Don't worry @Freema . If i know you you will be back to your active self asap. You sound like one determined lady. Get well soon but get well first before forcing any heavy exercise programme. Diet alone can still help lose weight. Exercise only makes afraction of a difference, overall.
I'm still finding the stress of walking affecting my bgs and having to counter-act it with insulin.
We will both get the better of our diabetes, I'm sure!
