Weekly weigh in - Fridays

@mo53 and @ickihun - I have decided to go back on the Forusemide and took one this morning. The Patches (morphine based) that I am wearing - a side effect is: additional Weight Gain and/or Weight Loss. And just typical that with me it had to swing to weight gain for me!!!
I am seeing the Liver Specialist on 3rd February and He is not going to be pleased that I have not lost the 1 stone that he asked of me to loose in October 2016. But, my main concern and priority at this moment in time is to get my Pain sorted out for my Spine and this swollen foot.
I have decreased my Insulin by 2 units as from today and will just have to decrease everything else.
But, have to say that you are doing brilliantly @mo53 and bet you are really chuffed to bits!!
William:)

Still at 231lb - am quite miffed.
I did buy some Lidl rolls which don't appear to cause spikes, but perhaps they are the culprits. I was just so pleased to find half a dozen still left in the basket. As the weather is improving perhaps I should walk to the shops in order to cope with good fortune at the bakery counter. I know I can't eat bread and lose weight, but - hope springs eternal...

12st 5lbs - as always, within a pound or two of my usual weight. BMI of 22.8, where I'd like it to be. Tomorrow it'll be a couple of points lower, as I expect to lose a pound or two by then.

Should I change my avatar?.......nah, it general sums up the way I feel about being diabetic.

Okay here goes..... I got my type 2 diagnosis a year ago and it has taken me this long to actually get my head around it all and start taking action. So very long overdue but finally going to start getting control of my blood sugars. Going low carb. Any words of advice and wisdom would be greatfully received

Be honest with yourself! Find out what LCHF means and eat within the limits. Don't believe those that tell you shutting one eye when you eat a slice of bread or a nibble of chocolate means it's OK - I tell myself that all the time and I'm lying! It won't be easy, but it is easy to live in ignorance.

20/1 - Good Morning and Well Done to all those who have lost weight:). I have put on 4 lbs since last Friday and weigh in at 13 stone 8 lbs (for 7 weeks remained at 13st 4lbs) - I am just 'shocked' and can only think/blame it on the Forusemide (Diuretic) Tablet being stopped a week ago because of suspected Gout in my left Ankle?:woot:
Gout really stinks, but once it is under control you will feel so much better.

Hi! I will tag @daisy1 for you.

183 lbs or 13 stone 1 lb is what the scale at the gym said this morning. That's 83 kg.

I lost 5 lbs from last week and gained 3 from two weeks ago.

I have 2 and 1/2 days more of antibiotics and I can chew soft food again on both sides. Hot foods are still a problem though. My bite has actually improved-this was the third treatment on that molar. Next week can only get better.

My next goal is to get back to 180 lbs again.

@Lianne71 The basic information we give to new members is linked to in my signature below. I hope it is useful to you.

I was 11 stone 2 when I weighed myself this morning so I'm glad to say I haven't put anything on. I'm rather stressed at the moment, my brother is having a difficult time with our housing association and I've been spending all my free time helping him out with it. His next inspection is due next week so it's all hands on deck at the moment!

It just goes to show how bone size makes a difference. I guess that is why they take our height into consideration. Shame bone development isn't just their length but breath too.
My partner has thick bones. X-rays have proven it.
Andy is big boned too, with x-ray proof. Me, I think my excess weight it just down to good old fashioned fat!!:hilarious:

Welcome, well done for taking control. You are in the right place, lots of friendly, clever, informed people around who are very generous with their advice. Good luck.

Looking forward to friday's weigh-in. I hope I'm not disappointed. Bathroom floor not great for my sensitive scales. I might have to find a better floor.
