Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Gosh, @ickihun - your face is changing.
GP today told me I'm type1 and type2. Yet endo who has left told me I'm definitely type2 on discharge from op. However the good news is he has sent me for an x-ray. Couldn't go today due to sick 12yr old after immunization. So Monday I will hopefully get some answers from all the years of pain. :) as long its something which can be fixed.

Another 4 lb this week (3 week average is 3lb a week so its not dropping too fast). Officially no longer "Obese" via my BMI which is a crazy thing to be celebrating being "over weight".

107.5 ish to 91.4. Target is 75kg so still a very long way to go! Small victories right!

Still losing as on the right amount of insulin.... for now.
If I rush this I could mess up my true insulin need.
If only everyone could control their exact insulin circulating. I wish one day for a meter to tell us that.

Well done @sno0opy. You hv lost amazingly.
Onwards and upwards is a true phrase for me too. :) :) :)

90.3kg this morning - thats another 2Lb this week.

I had a treat this week of a Nandoes (half chicken and none carby sides) celebrating getting to "over weight BMI) - pleased to still be dropping despite this so happy :)

Hello friday weighers
Forgot to enter last weeks weight. It was 48.5
Today 48.1.
That converts to 7stone 5lb.

Could it be because I had my hair cut?

Really disappointed. Am trying to maintain weight. Somehow have lost three pounds. My family are forever offering me cake etc because I am too thin.

Going in the right direction for you. :)
Are you getting near target weight?
Depends what you call target weight. The lowest I ever was, was 7 and a half stone but not fine boned so more naturally around 8.2.. Don't think I could get back down to those levels even if I wanted to but ideally would like to lose a bit more, perhaps go down to 8 and a half, still got fat around the waist to move but on the plus side, I have got the slimmest ankles you could ever imagine.;)

Sadly losing weight is hard as I am addicted to cream. Or so my cholesterol tells me.

Lol Rhyopian,
We might well be similar build.
Am 5ft 6. Normal weight for decades was around 8.5. Started creeping up about 10 years ago and I think that was the start of prediabetes.

Hi everyone, newbie here and wondering if I could join this thread please. I was diagnosed with type 2 4 weeks ago and started low carb pretty much the next day.

I was weighed 5 weeks ago at the dr's at 145.6kg or nearly 23 stone.
Today I was weighed again at 138.8kg so 21st 9lbs ish.

Obviously really pleased with that loss. I still have a very long way to go but I'm feeling positive about it.

If you lived with us you wouldn't be slim. No one is.
The key is to making your diabetes the priority. Regardless of weight then addressing weight loss normally. Can I ask if you have gone through the change yet? Many slim people add in the change. Also how is your thyroid health? Hv you been checked for overactive thyroid?
