Hi all, well what a first week on new LCHF!! Was in a dark place so was drinking 5/6 cans of strong beer a day. Since my visit to doctors other week and getting bad blood results etc decided its time to sort things out. I was told by doctor that because of the amount I had been drinking it could be dangerous to just stop. I went onto a couple of large glasses of red wine on an evening , which I enjoy and it also fetches my Bg down. Walking every day with my dog and doing 16/18 hour fast from 20.00pm to either 12.00 or 14.00. With only one black tea and vitamin water as needed. Yesterday had still not eaten at 16.00 so decided to have 4 slices of roast beef (not processed) and a couple of fried eggs. A handful of nuts an hour later. Didn't fancy any more food. Poured my glass of wine and had gone off the taste!! I added some of the vitamin water to it to make a spritzer. Enjoyed that but I seem to have gone off the taste of red wine, so not going to have any tonight. Could I have gone off the alcohol that quick? Checked BG over 7 days and got an average of 10.7, lowest reading I had was an 8.
