What do you miss from the 'Olden Days'?

With the National Anthem playing at the end, and then nothing but the test card until the following afternoon for Watch with Mother. And only BBC.
And just what were Andy Pandy, Looby Lou & Teddy doing in the basket? (And no, the answer is not Muffin the Mule!)

:wideyed: ooooh er ( Teddy was so cute) Watch with Mother :)

The Generation game was great, some very funny moments :hilarious:

Great Saturday morning entertainment, the show also feature the Arabian Knights (which was my fav) and The Three Musketeers.

What was the programme called again where they all lived on a bus, it was also a Saturday morning show.
And Rentaghost.

Bill and Ben the flowerpot men with Little Weed, The Wooden Tops, Rag Tag and Bobtail, Womans Hour still going strong on the radio, Mrs Dales Diary, The Archers still going I remember my Granddad listening to the Shipping Forecast,

I remember a lovely aunt of mine wearing this,

One of our biggest bands wrote a song about 4711 ... Sherbet ... back in the 70s

I miss being normal. Waking up in the morning and not having to think about injections. I miss not having anything to worry about. I miss playing with my friends all day and not having a care in the world. I miss my perfect skin and hair when I was young. I miss having the excitement over everything. The list could go on...

I long for the days when the choice of shampoo was for dry normal or greasy & maybe a herbal one. Now you have to decide if you want one for curly hair, straight hair, frizzy hair control, brunette blonde.Takes forever to decide.
OMG you just reminded me! Polyherb Rainsoft Shampoo! Oh how I loved the smell of that lovely shampoo. And I agree ..... whatever happened to shampoo for oily hair? Nice Sunsilk Lemon & Lime?

I tell you what I miss .... only having to chose between a vanilla brick, a choc ice, an orange maid or a mivvi. Or Tuna in oil or brine. These days there's so much choice with absolutely everything and it takes so darn long to decide which one to get. Remember when milk just came from cows and that was it? Butter was butter, cheese was cheese .... you get my drift ...

Omg you are wonderful... "Don't just stand there" - thats the one. Just played it on you tube and jigged around the kitchen looking at pics of Peter Noone.

You have totally made my day and probably this year!! Didn't even know that B side info was on google like this.

Thank you so much for finding this for me. So fantastic. Peter noone and sadly "Mary had a little lamb" by I think Wings were the first singles I remember. You have completed my memories for me. Thank you so much!
