What does the UK leaving the EU mean for us?

And in other movements, when asked about whether the negotiating team should include Farage, Leadsom this morning appeared not to rule him out, suggesting for her Brexit means no EEA position.

Clearly trying to up her cred with the Brexit crew, as she was late to the gig. Not impressed by her with AM

Anybody talking about bringing him into a negotiating team is clearly looking at a) full on leaving. b) Furthering respectable racism, as that what a lot of UKIP is.

I just had to share this with y'all.

title:
Metropolitan Amvrosios of Kalavryta and Aigialeia: “The EU is a union of atheists and deceivers”

http://www.pravoslavie.ru/english/94965.htm

<snipped>

Just in case anyone thinks the English translation might be off, here it is in Russian

http://agionoros.ru/docs/2469.htm

which was ripped off a Greek website here where the article is much longer

http://www.ekklisiaonline.gr/eipan/item/16002́sthash.op3ACxma.dpuf

and in other news.... I bet the Poles are sleeping just as tightly at night...

The dude who wrote it is a Greek with a position higher than normal bishop. I saw this gem in the Orthodox forum online, traced the posting back to an English website of the Russian Orthodox Church, traced the English translation back to a Russian translation of only part of the Greek original which explains, for example, how German domination is the result of a TROIKA :)

_____Τι είναι η Τρόϊκα, θα ερωτήσετε. Η Τρόικα απαρτίζεται από τρία θεσμικά όργανα:

 την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή (Κομισιόν), [the European Commission]
 την Ευρωπαϊκή Κεντρική Τράπεζα (ΕΚΤ), [The European Central Bank]
 και το Διεθνές Νομισματικό Ταμείο (ΔΝΤ). [The International Monetary Fund]

I can understand the Greeks being a bit miffed with the EU, that a Russian feels the need to commentate/translate adds to the general unease of Russian policy, which I think the UK's withdrawal from the EU is not going help...

I maybe wrong but I seem to remember the Greek church as being not too neutral in Greek politics and probably not too keen on the lefties.. correct me if I am mistaken.

I hope all of the doom and gloom and/or uncertainty clears away soon. As the UK £ has done a nose dive, so far I have lost around $30.00 on my modest UK pension.

It might not sound much but it buys extra 3 F goodness whether it's food, fuel, or fun, it all helps.

Hopefully it will all come good.

And in another plot twist, Farage is gone as well.

Another interesting day ahead.

The whole referendum is a complete farse:

Parliament will veto the populations preference and I predict there will be massive political and civil unrest for a long time to come.

That's France.
The British will whinge in the pub, the political activists will write a letter to someone starting with an apology for complaining, protest a bit, then apologise again at the end.

Then you'll forget it all, and vote for the next party that promises the unicorns and fairy dust.

At the end of the day there is a strong ingrained 'touch our forelocks' mentality in all us Brits! :)

My forecast is May versus Leadsam for the final two in the run off vote.

I thought May as the obvious winner, but I'm vacillating, as Leadsam was Out and providing she is in the final two with May, it's then 100% the responsibility of Con Party Members.... Will be interesting:)

Leadsam us for triggering Article 50 immediately, getting on with starting global trade negs.

May is for taking our time, no GE until this parliament runs its course in 2020...

Agree with all you write.

I'm not sure I agree with the idea generally put about that the next PM should be a "Leaver", we're all in this together and it should be the best person available.... I know it is a bit of a Hobson's choice....

I agree with the sentiment of your last para, but, I'm not sure the right wing of the Cons or the 17 million + Leavers will....:)

I agree with you and I'm a leaver - the best person for the job is a level headed person who sees both sides - not a fanatical in or outer, though who that is I have no idea yet
