SLC now replacing replacement order which I received today - put rolls straight in bin as they are out of date tomorrow. Bread was ok out of date 2/12 so just keeping a close eye on it - seems ok - one advantage of this cold weather as they were kept cool in box - I should eventually receive a fresh order next week! 48 hour delivery for these fresh items is no good at it took 4 days to arrive! so they say they will send next batch 24hr so we will see

My deliciously guilt free order was on 24hours and it zipped through. I’m amazed as I put in order late morning yesterday on Black Friday sale.hope yours arrives in timely fashion this time round and that SLC gets compensated by Royal Mail.
Edit I’m sure DGF had issues when used 48hours and switched to 24

Virtual hugs to you and your family - really really hard times for yous - hang on in there and don't give up hope x

Yes they are blaming each other!

Poor you hope replacement arrived? My Friday morning order arrived this morning! I was amazed just how quick it was hoping yours arrived too,
It hasn't. Once again it is stuck in Peterborough sorting office and I fear it's going to be the same problem. As I said to DGF they're not getting the service they're paying for. It's supposed to take 24 hrs - mine was 120 hrs. We had to bin the order. DGF have been great. It's Royal Mail that's letting them down.

Oddly my SLC order does arrive in 24 hrs and I know I'm not that far away from you.

When I saw yesterday evening mine was in Peterborough I thought oh no because of your experience but luckily it kept moving - how odd. I’m crossing fingers for you. I made two orders yesterday one in the evening as well but that’s not baked yet guess they will bake and send out Monday or Tuesday. Not that I need them I have a drawer full in my freezer! Mustn’t be tempted to buy again this year!

Getting dark here now so all the decs our Colonial Minders have placed outside are showing nicely. Very tasteful so far.The new sensor is operating well outside the 30, 60 and 90 day averages, sometimes by about +3 or 4. Seems almost 50% of them don’t work for me. Test drove the repaired old car today. Journeyed to Waitrose Bury St Edmunds. Also wanted to acquire some sourdough for Julie. Some for the freezer, some part baked and some for eating now. Turned into a tempting time in the spirits aisles. I bought a bottle of Buffalo Trace but someone mysteriously added sashimi, Kaltbach and Comte, and several other bottles . Football at 4.30 as well as trying the Waitrose Salt Beef Brisket ready meal. Tough old gig at times. Oh, 5 of the Advent Calendar pralines manfully cleared up since Friday evening. Feeling quite virtuous.

Enjoy! There seems to be a Tesco ad at the moment telling everyone that there is no Santa's naughty list this year. So keep on feeling virtuous but still - enjoy.

It really is odd how different the sensors are. My last one started out crazy low as in reading ‘lo’ overnight and 2 or 3 in day but by day 10 was only about 0.5 difference between it and my normal traditional bg measurement - shame they don’t last a month as they do usually improve in accuracy over time...... still even when wildly inaccurate they do reflect going up or down. Hope yours corrects and/or you get a more accurate replacement

Thanks. The pre and post meal readings were exactly the same and a flat line from one to the other. Much higher than average but general trend is flat. Who knows what is going on but a meal I wouldn't normally touch has tasted fine and appears to have done no harm. Result.

If it’s flat then may be faulty see how it is but if no ups or downs even minor ups and downs sounds odd probably a replacement needed! Just record actual bgs with the stabber and see what it says in contrast.

Spoken to Abbott so replacement sensor on the way and I updated the software on my phone. British Gas were finally able to inspect our heating system and accept it on contract - long story. The bad news? Dogs chewed Julie's favourite winter boots to pieces and her fitbit has stopped working. The fitbit is less than a year old and can be returned. I have, so far, avoided saying I told you so for getting pups too soon and/or now you know how I felt when my Timberland shoes were eaten (at least I told Julie not made her think she had lost them). Yesterday's very low carb intake had me waking at 4.30 (it does that) but that was probably a blessing as the dogs had escaped from their "safe place" and could have caused even more mayhem. Not a day where LC food can provide any cheer for me but these are the days where discipline really matters. The bonus is that there is nothing LC that remotely acts as comfort food for me to over eat.

Oh dear dogs will defo be in dog house ... or on naughty list

6am start today - once home and after lunch decided to have 40 winks as was feeling a bit tired. Woke up feeling groggy (BS ok) may be I shouldn't have a nap in the afternoon - had dinner - still felt hungry so just polished off 2 squares lindtt 90% and a packet of Cheesies (last time I ordered them online - does anyone know if any of the supermarkets sell them ) I think I might just go to bed so I don't eat anything else ...

DIL is entranced by baby Rue. She says she wants to have another one herself. No 2 son says "No" (too late for that anyway - he had "the snip" when Em was 3). So she wants another pup to raise. Son says "No". They have a houseful of animals already. She sees the point, but she is a mothering sort of woman. Em, of course, is encouraging her mum. Doesn't really mind if it is a baby or a pup. She wants something to mother.

@MrsA2
hi, we live in France and are temporarily in UK for MrSlims work. It has been impossible to rent anywhere furnished, unless it's just a room in a shared house - Neither of us are keen on that idea. Also most tenancies are for six months and we only need three, or four.
As we have a fully winterised motorhome seemed a good plan to use that. Cosy with the central heating on and flexible in location. Currently parked on a friends land with electric hookup. However MrSlim needs a bigger desk so some mòdifications are planned.
