OK, Christmas Day, I was making dinner as usual
B. TAG and that was it.
L. Nothing
D. Started with the fish dish I'd been experimenting with. I'd rolled fillets of sole and cooked and served with a very large prawn, in a sauce of white wine, a touch of cream, diced shallot, samphire, and green grapes. I'd also cooked GF calamari and GF suppli for the boys.
Main: usual turkey, home made stuffing balls and chipolatas (all low carb and GF), roast potatoes, carrots glazed in citrus butted, honey/mustard parsnips and stir fried sprouts with pancetta. I did have my usual campari and soda and a mouthful of white wine.
I'd made dessert for everyone else. A GF chocolate Sponge with vegan ice cream, or low carb creme brulee with raspberries, or cheese and biscuits.
I didn't eat that much. I'd been feeling "off" for about 3 days. I'd been feeling nauseous, but later on I discovered it was norovirus that was lurking.
Boxing Day
I'd consumed a lot of water and was feeling less wobbly.
B. A black weak tea.
L. Finally started to feel hungry. A SRSLY sandwich with turkey breast and mayo.
D. A turkey dinner repeat, just sprouts for veg. Later on I had a LC creme brulee with raspberries.
27 December
B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with a double yolk egg, chipolatas, and stuffing balls
L. Nothing. Had to brave the shops to get a few bits and bobs.
D. The remaining turkey, stuffing and chipolatas became a casserole in a mushroom sauce with pastry cooked separately for the pastry eaters. I did have a small piece of grandson's GF pastry. Sprouts again.
Another LC creme brulee and raspberries.
I'm glad to say I'm fully recovered today (28/12). I feel for your family
@RosemaryJackson. I felt originally as if it was a cold starting, then as if all the energy had been sucked out of me. I was very cold despite the house being warm and once it kicked in I could barely walk as it always attacks my messed up nervous system. Thankfully, it didn't last.
