Me again. Just been reading that @IanBish ate his chicken legs a la Medieval way. That reminded me that when I was with my son, he took me to aMedieval show. It was fantastic. Huge arena, knights in different colours, horses draped in their finery, jousting, the lot. The food was served on wooden platters.... soup in a wooden bowl with a wooden spoon.... we were served half a chicken with small piece of pork and half a baked potato. For dessert we had an eclair so stuffed with cream it oozed out. (they did give u a napkin) We all were given crowns and a flag to wave to encourage our Knight. We had a photo taken and it's something I will never forget and I wish I had the words to give you an idea of the atmosphere there. Exciting, expectant, impressed might give you a rough idea.
