You're very welcome. I'm also putting together a salad as part of an antipasto starter this year but to make it festive I'm arranging it as a Christmas wreath. I use mixed green leaves, thinly sliced radish, thinly sliced pear, crumbled bits of cornish cove cheddar, pomegranate seeds and an idea I got yesterday - walnut pieces that I'm going to glaze with a sugar free maple syrup and coat with sesame seeds. Antipasto isn't too much work so I feel obliged to do something! Funnily enough my dressing is similar to yours - I use lemon, agave nectar, olive oil and wholegrain mustard. One of my sisters who looks after mum due to her dimentia texted everyone to say they are having Christmas still at my mums place I think its important that we do and need to get together but I'm not sure if everyone is going though.
My sister will be cooking pork turkey and having a fresh leg of ham on the bone we don't cook the ham prefer it as is, tabbelah salad and her legendary icecream she makes for Christmas and fruit platter. She asked others to take a plate so I'm making a big bowl of mixed salad with a side of my garlicky lemon salad dressing, might also make some hummus and I always make my legendary white Christmas yep a very sweet slice but everyone loves them and I'm not going to fuss to much its a once a year treat that's made at Christmas time.

I tend to use 90% or 100% chocolate and the sweetener has to be powdered. I've got the confectioners sweetener.
If it's any consolation, my hubby said he can understand how you thought it was a desiccant. I still have over 100 posts to go, are you any further forward with the cause of the hives etc? I DO scoff the lot. Too good to share.Today I woke ridiculously early. Drank a lot of coffee but couldn’t bring myself to take Dennis out for his morning walk in the cold frosty beautifully wintery day without breakfast. 2 rashers streaky, mushrooms, spinach.
Lunch after the long walk was a tin of mackerel in oo. 1/2 avocado, coleslaw made with the vegan mayo ( which had gone a bit runny) and a couple of celery sticks. Then sf jelly&cream and a grated HC button on top.
Dinner the Iceland Wild Red Shrimp recommended by @maglil55 I agree it was delicious. Didn’t have any lc noodles so served on a bed of spinach. Pack says 2 servings but tbh I’d happily scoff the lot, still <2g carb. Oh and a slice of the new Skinny Bread to mop up the sauce! Yay what a difference the yeast makes!!!!! Choc orange chia pud to follow.

Have just munched LivLife toast and peanut butter as didnt really do lunch other than the inside of a slice of quiche. Was busy doing stuff and didnt want to stop.
The boys are having chicken, ham & veg pasta bake tonight so I will have a cheese & tomato omelette.
I have the Christmas food bought other than bread, milk and a Yule log but its this period between now and then feeding three hungry men thats challenging. Am off to the shops again tomorrow for top ups. I have made individual cottage pies for tomorrows supper. Have yet to top mine with celeriac mash.
I have an air fryer but I have done them in the fan oven too. Make sure your baking tray has been heated and a wipe of olive oil helps it along too.Oh ok don't have an airfryer but maybe I can do them in my electric oven it has a fan force option so might give it a go. Thanks
Have been grating fiddly little bits for my morning omelette every day. Like you it's the washing up that gets irritating. Longing for the days when breakfast used a mug, bowl and spoon.
I have a raclette and must admit it is one of these occasional fun things when I really can't be bother cooking. It's a lot of prep but then everyone just does their own thing. Mine has a hot stone on top to cook on and we run a fondue alongside it. @PenguinMum, I bought 3 Microplains a while ago in Lakeland - expensive but worth every penny. I do now also have the guard you put the cheese in having grated the side of my thumb once and ended up having to go to Boots to get patched up. I was given straight instructions to go to A&E if the bleeding continued but given they never meet their targets here I avoided that at all costs!Didn't see that cheese but one may appear. B=tea; Waitrose latte around 12.30; L=Livelife turkey sandwich + 20 gms cheddar from advent calendar and 2 cups tea made using leaves in new pot with infuser (much better than teabags); Evening = duck breast + mushrooms (air fryer) with rocket, baby red chard and chives salad + mayonnaise. DGF double choc brownie (so small) with extra thick dbl cream. All very baying at the moon and not especially satiating. @maglil55 good to see you back but sorry for the loss.
ETA: Brownie leaves quite an unpleasant after taste IMHO - not as bad as the millionaires shortbread but properly off putting. I need cheese

I think the AF will become important to us - combines attributes I like about the sous vide and IP e.g. consistent temperature with better finish than those. Interestingly, we tried our smallest tray in the AF but it was just too big so thanks.Are you guys building a relationship with your AF?
As the little tray that comes with the AF is rather shallow, I found a great roasting tin in our stocks that fits well. I put that on a shelf, or on the tray, under whatever is cooking,if there's going to be lots of rendered fat. It's much easier to manoeuvre and empty than the shallow tray.

You have had your problems to bear. So sad with the firefighters. They are brave men. My SIL has now gone to Sydney to sort out Father's affairs but I don't know what the situation is with the fires outside Sydney.So I've tappered weekly from 100mls x 4 daily hydrocortisone infusions and down to tablets prednisone steroids to 40mg to 30mg and now 20mg. And yesterday started 120MG MR diamicron as advised by the diabetic educator this morning my BSL was 5.2 mmol/L before breakfast 6 hours later it was 11.2mmol/l. All I had for breakfast was scrambled eggs with some cream cooked in ghee with a few slices of red capscium and black coffee. I then went shopping at around 2pm and around 4pm tested my BSL was 11.2 mmol/L but hadn't eaten since this morning mmmmm. I was told that it takes a few days before I may notice any difference in medication so fingers crosed. When I came home about 5ish i had some plunger coffee that I had partially frozen in the freezer so blitzed it with some cream oh and a sneaky scoop of icecream for lunch Was so refreshing. Dinner I made steak with babaganish grilled broccoli with sour cream basil pesto sauce and fruit with cream. I also drank some coconut water as feeling dehydrated so needed to replenish my body.
I forgot to test my BSL before dinner but just tested now its 8.7 mmol/L and will retest before bed tonight. Although I'm still hungry because of prednisone my today's meals especially dinner has filled me up so hopefully no more more cravings.

And the red sun yesterday afternoon the sky was very smokey from the fires here in NSW and extremely hot weather. The photo doesn't really shoe how red the sun was though. We are on toral fire bans for the rest of the week.
