Thanks for your good wishes for Dennis.
Regarding your tea preferences - do you have milk in either? I can drink Earl Grey black but not ordinary tea, I keep trying.
Things I didn’t eat before: the skin on chicken. I could never have imagined enjoying this, now I think it’s the best bit ( has to be crispy obviously)
We drink traditional black Billy Tea most of the times.Never been able to drink Earl Grey tea. To me it tastes like scented soap. Cardamom tea, on the other hand, is delightful. Black, of course.
Yes, that was what EG tea used to taste like to me, too. I'm sure it's my tastebuds that have changed rather than the tea, so perhaps it's more to do with the ageing process rather than the change in eating habits? I'll post if I suddenly start to develop a hankering for Werther's Originals.Never been able to drink Earl Grey tea. To me it tastes like scented soap. Cardamom tea, on the other hand, is delightful. Never tried cardamom tea, but am more than willing to give it a go. Where can you buy it?
Thank you so much, annb. I see what you mean about the price, but it's my birthday next month, so I might drop a hint to Mrs C...I buy it from Amazon. It's not cheap, but for a once in a while cuppa, it's good. If you do buy it, just check that it isn't one that contains sweetener or sugar - some of them do. This is the one I buy.
Ran out of bacon and forgot to take slices of pork out of the freezer so I had some sardines for breakfast. I had taken a correction dose of insulin at 7.30 but BG kept on rising so I took another dose - it was more than I would normally take before breakfast because I intended to have a cople of chunks of melon after the fish. BG still 12.9 an hour and a half later - that's higher than it was before eating but only .8 higher.
I do have some ham in the fridge (forgot about that), so later will have some of that in an omelette for my 2nd meal, and maybe BG will come down a bit. Not hopeful of that.
