B & L bad
D chicken & salad
BG high, own fault and a tad stressed
many thanks for concern about my dog, going to see what vet says on Friday first, but pretty much expect the worst, at least she is getting spoiled rotten, steak & trimmings for her tonight, doner kebab tomorrow:)

Hotel food, day 2&3:

Breakfasts are great. Help yourself from porridge, cereals, fruit, yog, toast, bagels, fruit juice, scram or fried eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, chips (!!!) and all possible condiments.

I have bacon and eggs (not impressed by the sausages, but then I rarely am... I'm a shameless sausage snob). Mr B has everything. Twice. Breakfast takes a long time.

Supper last night was roast turkey, cauli, broccoli and butter (no other options) followed by a sliver of lemon mousse and buckets of cream.

We were out at lunch, to a GORGEOUS national trust house, and I had a very expensive salad in the cafe.
Worth every penny!
Bed of posh lettuce, sprinkled with diced black pudding, Wensleydale, bacon, walnuts, walnut oil and balsamic vinegar. With a hard boiled egg on the side.
Sublime flavour combo.
Will try to recreate it back home.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm so jealous, it all sounds so yumm,

Breakfast: Edam and Quorn chorizo omelette and ketchup

Lunch: savoury muffin, red bush and vanilla tea

Dinner: a mishmash of leftovers and bargain buys which turned out lovely - curried cauli rice, chickpeas and spinach with fine beans in garlicky soured cream sauce, flaked almonds on top.

Later: chocolate and pecan microwave mug cake with caramel flavoured whipped cream

this thread has made me realise I am getting into my old bad ways again. I had beef stew and cabbage at 7.00 pm. that was my first meal today.

I like a mouthful of cold stew or curry whilst waiting for breakfast to cook. Junior loves cold fish and chips - used to get the big portion from our chippy that was meant to do 2 and he'd eat part of it hot then finish rest off later or next morning.

Breakfast poached egg, mushrooms, turkey bacon
lunch homemade ham broth with diced ham in bottom of bowl; small portion strawbs, spoonful almond and fruit crumble and greek yogurt
dinner- off out to gig in Leeds so ham and cheese salad in box and some 85% dark chocolate for post gig nibble.

B = Livlife toasted bread with cheese.
L = bacon sandwich Livlife bread
D = home made ratatouille and 97% Pork sausages
Snacks non so far, might be Lindt dark choc later
And not hungry.
Weight reduction slowing I think, but only weigh once a week, Sunday is my day, we will see.

Brekkie - bulletproof coffee/fat-coffee (45 g kerrygold and 40 g coconut oil)
Afternoon coffee with jersey cream and coconut oil
Dinner - planning an omelette need to use up 4 egg-whites left overs from a bearnaise sauce with a couple of egg, some cream and make it really cheesy with some Jarlsberg or goat cheese

End of hol

Last nights meal at hotel, was roast beef, broccoli, cauli and diced swede. With butter.
And berry tart (minus pastry) and cream.

Brekkie this morning was fried eggs and bacon.

Then driving home I had a peanut 9bar in the car with a costa Americano and cream.

It was a sublime cup of coffee. Absolutely perfect.
Why, o why aren't they all like that?

Didn't need or want lunch :wideyed::woot::eek:
So didn't eat again til evening when I made chicken and veg biryani, minus rice.

I also had plenty of time to think about my eating, during the motorway drive, and I realised that I have slipped off point with one aspect of this diabetes miracle eating.

For the past 4 days or so, I have been forgetting to eat a snack at night before bed.
Very annoyed.
For every time I slip up, it risks triggering a liver dump (according to diane cress' thinking), so I am then supposed to extend my time on phase 1 (very low carb eating) by 3 days to give the liver and pancreas time to recover.
:spitoutdummy::bigtears::spitoutdummy:
So I am supposed to extend phase 1 by 3x4= 12 days :wideyed:

I think I may end up cheating.:(
I've been doing very well. And I'm pleased with my BG results, the way I feel AND my self discipline.
But 8 weeks seemed doable.
Shifting the goalposts to nearly 10 weeks is... Demoralising.
