What have you eaten today?

i always used to make up enough for 2 days. reheated it in the microwave on day 2.
it had always set like concrete, but just stirring in a little water, milk or cream would loosen it up again.
 
B: late for work so I just had 3 Belvita bickies with insulin. My bm on rising was 9.3 and when I got to work I had bacon toms mushrooms and scrambled egg, yum!
Bm after was 7.1!
Lunch: Cheese, ham, 2 radishes, enormous tomato.
Not sure what to have for tea yet, probably fish and veg
 
Hi I have just had a Heinz lentil soup all 400 grams of it with Hi-lo brown toast ----OUCH. BS went from 6.3 to 11.4 in one hour. Its the soup.
I make a simple lentil soup that doesn't' spike me. 2 medium size carrots 1 and a half handfuls of lentils and half a veg stock cube. Chop the carrots into a pan add lentils and stock, a shake of black pepper and cover with boiling water 20 minutes simmer, blitz and hmmmm

breakfast scrambled eggs
lunch pkt m and s mexican chicken slices and piece cheese
snack piece sausage from deli ( bs dropped and could feel start of migraine which something meaty seems to nip in bud)
dinner small portion cauli cheese mash topped shepherd's pie , tbsp peas, savoy cabbage , beetroot and pickled red cabbage
 
Breakfast. 90% pork sausage, egg and 1 tinned plum tomato.

Lunch. Avocado and king prawns

Dinner. salmon, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, Celary.

Very low on Carbs today and also not many calories. Think I should have something else but don't know what.

Total carbs 9. Net carbs 5. Calories 790.
 
B - pumpkin 9bar and strawberries
L - mackerel pate with salad
D - egg, bacon, 98% pork sausages, mushrooms and half a slice of brown fried bread
 
Decided to have a lighter food day, just to see what it felt like...

B: coffee with cream
L: salmon
S: 9bar
D: chicken curry like last night with sugarsnaps

And it's not enough! I'm ravenous. Going to go into kitchen and EAT.
Mug cake, berries and cream, hot chocolate... Pork scratchings...
I expect I'll end up eating more than I would have if I hasn't cut down on brekkie and lunch. Humph.

3 pm some sliced roast turkey
Supper home made fishcakes and buttered cabbage.
Just not hungry today
Edit to include leek soup from freezer. Had a lot of pain today and painkillers kill my appetite too :(
 
B: Yoghurt, summer berries, sprinkling of granola & a sprinkling of cinnamon
L: Not hungry, too much stress, felt ill.
D: I've sort of given up, because of the stress, it's making me depressed so couldn't be bothered to cook again today. So I had a Venison steak burger in two slices of toasted LivLife bread with cheese and tomato sauce. Like a burger in a bun, but without as much carby bread. :eek:
Keep trying to pick myself up, but can't at the moment. I will though.
It's a TBI thing, you can only cope with one thing at a time. So my D and everything else has been impossible to deal with.

What do u put in your fish cakes ?
Hope the pain better now. I've fibromyalgia and am in flare at minute so know what it's like - you get fed up with yourself.x
 
Just salmon or cod. Mashed cooked veg. Shape with beaten egg and seasoning and freeze. Bake on a tray as and when. Yes. Pain v hard to deal with sometimes. Hope we borh feel a bit easier soon eh.
 
Ooh that sounds nice. I think some mashed cauli and a few mashed peas would be nice mashed up with the fish.

Yes pain sucks. I've had a few years not so bad so it came as a bit of a shock to be back in the pain zone. X
 
Breakfast : 2 steamed eggs and 3 strips of bacon
Lunch: leftovers from last night
Snack : couple hard boiled eggs
Supper: roast chicken ( family left me all the skin and fatty parts... Yum!). Side was brussel sprouts pan fried with some finely chopped bacon, and finished off with a wad of butter. Browned a bit on the outside, but still firm on the inside.

Had my blood work fasting tests this morning. See the Dr. Next week for results. Just went and got myself a couple squares of 90% chocolate, think I might treat myself to a glass of wine after the kids are in bed. :-)

Hi Dibbles, sorry to hear you're not feeling so good and hope you are feeling a bit better today. I experimented with the oats/cream/yoghurt and raspberries today for breakfast. Very nice, but very rich! I think I may have put too much cream in so will try it with more yoghurt and a little cream next time.
Lunch: M&S tomato and basil soup with a teeny weeny bread roll - the first one in three weeks, and I was a bit scared! About an hour after lunch my tum started playing up, so Im assuming it was due to the bread, or could have been too much cream, as I had coffee with cream at lunch.
Tea: nice piece of beef pan fried with mixed mediteranean veg, yum
