My menu have been pretty boring today.

Breakfast: dairy and fat free yoghurt

Lunch: chicken Breast, mixed veg and a poached egg

Dinner: chicken soup and a side salad

Also had a few cups of tea with dairy free milk
Not boring at all... very nice and probably just right... Why are you fat-free?

I have a small handful of berries sprinkled with Stevia, with cream poured over for my sweet fix... I have loads of salt - no blood pressure at all and I get cramp without it... parmesan would help you, or feta cheese? I think your husband's mean putting Easter eggs in front of you..

Thank you..

Don;t know if it was this thread or the Type 2 Fasting bloods thread but someone mentioned they wished ibuprofen was available without sucralose in. Just got some from Sainsburys but while I was there noticed they also do capsules and liquid capsules, neither of which have sucralose in them. HTH

If it doesn't spike you and you enjoy it why change? Thanks for the ecipes - haven't checked them out yet but I shall

I'd like to try it but ulcerative colitis hates soya... oddly enough....
That sounds painful. Shame you can't eat soya cos it cuts out the use of soya flour too doesn't it - pity cos its one of the cheaper flour alternatives..

@gemma6549 - I've just seen dairy free easter eggs in Sainsbury's "free from" section........

Thanks my husband does make me laugh, whenever I fancy something like chocolate he says "really? I never crave anything like that" that's because he has it on a daily basis!!

Right now I'm struggling to keep anything in my body

Ooh, dear. Hope your system settles down soon. Take care x

Another tough day.
B. Allbran with ss milk and one boiled egg.
L. Veg soup and one boiled egg.
2pm starving, stomach growling away.
3.30pm home early -boiled egg, 4 slices of luncheon meat.
D. 5pm couldn't wait any longer, chilli con carne without kidney beans, cauli rice, gave in and had a pitta bread with it. Followed by jelly and cream AND a small bar of dark choc. Bg post 2h 6.5

can't decide whether to really drop the carbs and see how I get on or whether im just not eating enough during the day?

Hi,

You are following the classic pattern that I pioneered when I tried to cut down:
I used to start each day with the most fantastic, virtuous intentions, but by late afternoon I would have eaten a small elephant. Dipped in breadcrumbs. And deep fried.

I'm actually astonished by your self control (no irony intended).
I would have fallen head first into a takeaway after that breakfast and lunch...

I've no idea if that it too many carbs for you, but it would be too many for me. But then I have a v low carb tolerance.

But I'm certain that is too little food (esp fat) at brekkie and lunch. So you are left wanting to chew furniture.
Sorry if I sound critical. I don't mean to. And believe me, I've been there!

How about trying, for one day:

Bacon and 2 scram eggs for breakfast (use cream instead of milk in the eggs). No carbs.
Time how long it takes you to get hungry.

Then at lunch, have the soup, and the egg, but add a good wodge of grated cheese.
Time how long it takes before you get hungry.

I'm hoping that will give you a more controlled approach vector to your evening meal.
The evening meal looks great, by the way. And that pitta (or half?) may be within you personal carb tolerance.

Ooh. Another tip you may find helps - a cup of broth, or coffee, with a dash of cream in it has an almost magical soothing effect on hunger/cravings. You can adjust the cream quantities for your personal fat targets, but try it - it may help a lot.

Hope that helps!

B: coffeencream with 3 97% sausages
L: out with colleague to say goodbye (she's moving on) ham and eggs with half a portion of irrisistable thick cut chips. Tut tut.
D: roast chicken with coleslaw. Berriesncream

B - mini cheese, cheese and more cheese crustless quiche with some salami
L - smoked mackerel pate with salad and olives
D - cod fried in butter with broccoli followed by cake and cream

Personally I'd say you weren't eating enough....if you're going really low carb the advice seems to be to include more fats be it in the form of cheese, nut butters and cream..... I don't do low carb, just low enough to keep my meter happy so have to be careful not t overindulge on the fats

You could probably eat more AND drop your carbs, but you need more fat to stave off the hunger pangs

B: yoghurt berries and cream
L: veg soup with a pat of butter. Still hungry so I popped into the Coop and got myself a couple of hot roast chicken legs, yum!
D: not really hungry but spoilt my good day by succumbing to a bar of chocolate :-(

Today:

Breakfast 2 poached eggs, tomato, cucumber and red cabbage with a spoonful of mayo
Lunch Cheese salad, cheese, leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, cabbage and seeds with an olive oil dressing.

Not been hungry tonight as I have had a spectacular headache, think I am going to steam some sprouts and griddle some chili infused haloumi.
