Sorry and yes, I was rushing around and a bit stressed .. I was hurrying home and getting lunch ready to scoff down to get rid of that horrible swimmy in the head feeling.

Aha! That may be it. I find that stress and rushing about has very unpredictable effects on my BG. Adrenalin and liver dumps, muscles using up glucose... They all interact in messy ways.

If I know that I'm likely to be in that situation, I stuff protein, a bit of fat, and completely avoid carbs (always used to eat a fry up before exams and job interviews). But it's not always poss to plan ahead...

My beautiful cat boy died yesterday. He took suddenly unwell late Saturday night. His symptoms suggested that the tumour was blocking his intestine. He was put to sleep on Sunday morning. The sadness is overwhelming me and my son at the moment but will ease. My daughter is currently unaware of the news, on a bus on the way back from T in the Park. She is so excited as her boyfriend is getting a new kitten today. Poor girl is going to be ambushed :(

I know you will all be lovely friends, but maybe best to get back on topic. I just get more upset when people say nice things xxx

Brekkie: 2 fab local butchers sausages and scram egg

Lunch: a too big bag of scratchings, from supermarket, not the posh ones. Not so nice, but still low carb. And a small panna cotta thingy (16 g carb in the whole thing, but the passion fruit bit at the bottom was so sickly sweet I left it, so I guess 5-10 g carbs...?

Dinner: cheeseburger, no bun, 5 fries. Salad.

Snack: Greek yog and 3 exquisite Strawbs (and 2 profiteroles)

Couldn't 'elp mesself, yer honour! Honest Guv!
You see we had a tesco delivery, and they had substituted my saintly low carb panna cotta thingy for profiteroles, and the nice delivery guy did tell me. And I DID say 'oh, you'd better take that back'.
But then I forgot to weed it out of the boxes.
Obviously my unconscious profiterole addiction sabotaging my conscious virtuosity.
o_O
So now we have 12, er, make that 10 profiteroles that I can't quite bring myself to dispose of... Although I have already very pleasantly disposed of 2...

So, absolutely knowing what a stupid idea this is, I am going to have 2 a night, buried in a low carb meal.

Yeah, right.
We can't see any problem with this plan, can we?

Put the balls of temptation in the freezer in portioned sizes...good luck!
