Hey guys,

Just a thought I know you shouldn't correct rebounds post hypo but I don't tend to do this unless the hypo is below 3 (my thinking being is no sugar would be released from liver at this or above)

Am I right? or what level do you use?

MMmm well I had one this morning, basically took my quick acting, then forgot to eat breakfast.. so ate glucose, and food and went sky rocket, I knew I would go high as I was racing to get daughter to school and to work and so in my hypo madness I ate alot more than I should of thinking it would get me out of hypo state quicker (silly hypo thinking!!) So got into work and corrected at 11.5 but still went to 15 before lunch even with 3 units of QA for correction.

Normally I wouldn't if I knew I had treated my hypo correctly but as I ate more than I should of I knew I had to correct to stop going ridiculously high. As i'd consumed more than I needed I used my correction ratio of 1 unit of QA to bring me down 2 mmol/l.

Thanks @Juicyj But what was your hypo number? that one is a little out of what I was thinking of because you probably had a fair bit of insulin onboard?

When I treat a hypo correctly with 15-20g of quick acting carbs, if I have a high number by the next meal I would correct........

If it was a bad hypo and I know my liver has helped out I would probably leave it, at least until a few hours anyway....

If I have a high number after a hypo at my next meal I never correct, I have a tendency to drop low again so I just leave my sugars as they are.
