What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Phoned them up, put in order over phone, bit of a panic trying to guess meat sizes, collect this afternoon, brilliant!
Excellent MC our local butcher has posted on the community page that he is fully stocked with local produce...home made sausages etc...just back from the larger Tesco's did a good shop everyone was orderly we all keep our distance at the tills...no fresh milk but they now have limits on items no more than three per person so it should even up soon.

Well done on the fbg and I’m so glad your friend is recovering well. Is she on the vulnerable stay at home for 12 weeks list though?
Shame about Mr Fuzz I’m sure he cheered you all up for a while. Fingers crossed that Conor stays well. My oldest daughter and family are quarantined now after her husband became ill a couple of days ago, again, we think it’s likely to be a cold but not taking chances. Stay safe.
Because she isnt home she doesnt know if the letter has arrived but talking to other patients who had the same treatment they have got the letter. She thinks it because she is still receiving bone treatment she qualifies.
Have posted on forum

Please read if family members asthmatic.
Could be important.
And for those with an asthmatic in house, could possibly be a life saver if one of you fall to covid.

i went in there and replied to you forgetting I wasnt on this thread! Got short shrift!!

Well picked up order of food from canal shop, easy enough but will give Tesco ago for tinned stuff and risk the wrath of my kids.

Painting still coming on but for today here is my third and final idea for @OldButBold lost souls, they do look more like hairy cucumbers in the sea in this sketch but in watercolour I'm sure they will be fine. Colour pencils 15 minutes.

@gennepher very creative again, I must have ago at digital art do a David Hockney, I wish.

A close friend we used to see every week until social isolation, her daughter in law a young nurse now a victim of C19 self isolated at home with all family.

Given that I live in a senior facility and our staff here have taken extra measures, recommended by the government, for the health of us "vulnerable class" elderly folk, would you expect some member of the office staff to be in the building during regular business hours?
We are not a nursing home; we are an independent-living facility. But still ... :(

Or am I expecting too much?

@Muddy Cyclist if you are still having gatherings the other side if your hedge, you could try classical music. Apparently some vandal hit shopping areas have found the music to have an calming effect. In that groups of young people generally leave after a short while. We have actually used this ourselves when there was a gathering similar to the ones you describe in the woods behind a previous house. It took about an hour at full volume, with MrSlim enthusiastically pom pom pomming along ( no idea what the neighbours thought)

Or I could start practising on my fiddle. :joyful:

Not been to bad at the moment maybe they are listening to our PM only two by two.

Hairy cucumbers @Muddy Cyclist !
Your description made me laugh :)

Thank for the compliment.
I am sure you could do digital artwork. Forget David Hockney, you can do better than that!

Rude people are rude people.
So sorry.
But also pretty sure it wasn't the intention.

But similar is far too common on the forum.
I have tried to be gracious in my reply

It was advise for a high risk group.. don't really have the time for anyone grandstanding taking away from that message
when so many now and in the coming weeks face such a difficult time.

Some injured feeling seems small potatoes on the whole.

A long day...
First of all I found my doorbell does not work. Of all times to pack in.
Changed both lots of batteries, cleaned terminals. Still dead as a dodo. It is 20 years old..

Last year I was looking for doorbells. To replace this one at some point. But nothing flashed the way I needed it to, and I wasn't paying for specialist stuff ( I couldn't afford it anyway). Then I saw something on Amazon that was too cheap to be true.
This was last summer. Customer's photos and video showed the way this doorbell flashed through a rainbow of lights when it rang. It was 2 for £9.99. Too cheap to be true...yeah? When I tried it out I loved the rainbow colours that flashed. But when I put the push bit outside, I realised it would let in water. And I realised the bell push was really for an indoor apartment complex. But I kept it with a view to covering the bell push with something.

I am so glad I did, because I doubt I would have been able to buy a doorbell now. I covered the bell push with clear plastic. It was easy enough to do.

A friend is sending me some parcels which is why I needed a working bell!

What is it that people don't understand about this lockdown? Children were playing in a group in this cul de sac, they don't even live here, they came in from the next road. Then the neighbour (and his wife) next door, who is the not very nice neighbour, had his daughter there today and his two grandchildren. Then over the road there is a woman and her grown up son, but more of the extended family live in the next road, so children were wandering between the houses, and adults too. And more. You wouldn't know there was a lockdown in place. These people are going to ruin it, the bit of freedom we have to shop, for the rest of us who are abiding by the rules. I am waiting for the body bags, or the army, it's a toss up which arrives first.

Then I went on Amazon to order some things, but I found that many deliveries from Amazon are not going to arrive until mid May. I wanted some seeds, tomato, nasturtiums, kale etc. They were in my save for later. Well they are either sold out now, or because they are not termed as essential food, are not going to be delivered until mid May. Useless. It is food I wanted to grow. So that has knocked that idea in the head.

I wanted a bit more dried food, veg and fruits and seeds and dried full cream milk. They were in my save for later. But n the minute it took me to to bring them up to pay for them, then suddenly one was sold out, By the the time I realised what was happening, something else had vanished, sold out.

It took me an hour, and holding my breath most of that time, to try and find something similar. And prices had gone up £2.50 more here, and a fiver there. Absolutely not, I will do without first...

Finally I got there. So some chia seeds, almond flour, freeze dried blueberries, dried eggs, and long life almond milk will be coming in the next few days.

My digital painting for today using SketchClubApp, and a silhouette app for the trees and birds.

Yes you are right! Now tell me how is Steph and is Lauren still going to work?

@gennepher hugs for the difficult day. I think, but what do I know, everyone promising online deliveries need to start prioritising BIG TIME. They have been gathering all this info about us through loyalty cards (for their benefit not ours) so high time to use those “experts” to prioritise and not enough to just base it on age.
Thank you for the amazing art, much as I really appreciate it I would hate for you to get so tired you felt you had to deliver. Please we are in different times and to receive your amazing art is beautiful but you dont need to deliver other than when you can. Please.
Take great care re food, rest and activity. That- message to everyone.

Steph has got better, thank you.
she has relocated to BF's house.
makes sense , she's going to go see him regardless i would guess
and together they can play the games etc to while away the hours and weeks.

Sort of glad, no guarantees, but i expect us to bebe worse hit then Hampton, but who can say.
we all brace for impact and pray we get through, with as little serious worries, as possible, please god.
