What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@geefull thank you for compliments about my art today. Sandstone is lovely but I find getting all the shades of colour very difficult, must try harder.

Liked your trees today and it's good you are enjoying the creating process. As for your abominable sunset, we all have those disasters, on the back of many of mine you will find some abominable creations all good practice.

Another beautiful day.
Been watching the sky since 4:00 a.m. and earlier the sky was clear, and I could see twinkling stars. But then cloud cover came over, and now the cloud cover is clearing again revealing patches of blue.
It looks like another beautiful sunny day again.
Will be out doing another pastel painting in a bit.
Almost the whole sky is blue now just in a few seconds. It changes so rapidly.
Off to make a cuppa.

Morning everyone. Fbg of 5.6 for me today. That is well outside the safe landing zone but neither me nor this WOE are perfect (Timely reminder from Easter Pilgrim app). Adjusting to rediscovering combinations of LC food I enjoy, temporary (disbursed) gym and staying indoors distorts things. Not a rip it up and start again day. Tweakage shall ensue. Pups are now ready for walks (less risk than shops: Thetford forest or deserted fen, mask, gloves, sanitiser, Nordic walking poles to maintain distance if we encounter others) and lawns, such as they are, need cutting. I may also be confusing the need for hydration with hunger - major reduction in almond milk consumption tells me I am drinking far less tea but not replacing with water. Click and collect in Newmarket today - first time outside the house for 6? weeks. Stay well, safe safe.

My wife lost an aunt to the virus last night in S Carolina. The saving grace was the poor woman was well into dementia and had no idea what was going on. personally, I think it was a mercy but then, I don't worry about death.

Oddly, her favourite artist was Meatloaf so just for her...

Good morning everyone from a damp and chilly morning in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of roasted lamb breast and a bit of over indulgent quiz food (who knew there were such items) came in at 5.5 this am

A very good evening, quiz and a bit of tech learning during the day to set it up curtesy of Zoom, Kahoot, Chromcast and Streamer for Chromcast to cast the IPad screen onto the TV. We don’t have laptops any more, IPads restrict you to 9 windows at a time using Zoom but you can swipe L/R for more. Very good and although we are told that Zoom only lasts for 40 min a session using the free version, we carried on for nearly three hours before closing it down.

Have as wonderful a day as you can, I am going to start by opening a fresh bag of koffy, savouring the smell as I tip the contents into my koffy can and then have a brew up.
 
This morning's painting already done.
More pastel clouds.
I brought the pastel indoors to photograph, but the pestiferous cat is already annoyed that he had to watch me from my bedroom glass door and is trying to destroy both painting and iPad...
It was a bit too cold to put him in the cage next to me on the thatched swing, the sun hasn't reached it yet, but in an hour or so the sun will reach it.

@Alien Aspie hugs for loss of a family member.

News yesterday MIL in care home had cough along with other residents and rash. Got a call later saying she is not coughing and doctor does not thing the virus is in the home, now residents are not allowed out of their rooms. Worrying but the staff are trying hard, doing what they can. They also say they have sufficient PPE equipment to deal with it so they feel as safe as they can be under difficult circumstances.

Rain in the air here, only one cupboard left to tidy, can't start on loft as we would need a skip, too many years in one place

So more art, more music and perhaps go back to doing genealogy, who knows see how the mood takes me.

Keep busy, find time to watch the world, listen and enjoy, do it all safely.

7.3 this morning, life on the diabetic roller coaster of life is fun!

Well folks it's Sunday, I think, koffy to be drunk or tea, you choose, your drinking it. Whatever your doing, do it with gusto , bring a smile to somebody's face, throw caution to the wind. I really am missing barking at the postman, I don't think the postman is.....
Now I must depart, other realities have called.
 
Morning...had a lazy day or so did little here apart from binge watch The Crown...today things have to change been to collect the shopping fridge & freezer now fully stocked managed to get a couple of things for neighbours...think I have caught up on all the posts I missed for the last few days...woke to 6.4 and a beautiful cool day rain is not far away but we do need some...keep safe everyone.
 


Well.... I'm not sure how hard police are checking,
I'd say possibly viewed as non essential
However if you were taking food to someone vulnerable.. That would be allowed
 
Couldn't face painting any More sandstone to finish my Mill Race paintings. So I decided to capture some trees passed on Saturday evening dog walk, trees back lit by a setting sun. These trees seemed to generate their own light, these are just Sketchbook paintings ready for a larger set of paintings for my next series of 3, not exactly sun sets but late evening sun probably called 'Last Light of the Day'.
So three trees 2 Larger than A5 and 1 A4. Took about 15 minutes for each one, working on all at the same time as I let the layers of watercolour dry on each in turn.


This was just one part of a Copper Beech Hedge.
