@gennepher - Thank you, I did it on a white background to begin with but decided it needed to be darker. 11 layers on this and in this order:Thank you so much for the commiserations @dunelm
I am guessing if I still lived in Liverpool, the local pub would have been able to issue me one, after all everything else under the sun could be purchased there...
This is truly wonderful. I love it. I don't know why, but it makes me smile (in a good way). It is a happy painting.
Don't tell me...layers again!
I am going to have to attempt what you and @Alien Aspie are doing....
@gennepher - Thank you, I did it on a white background to begin with but decided it needed to be darker. 11 layers on this and in this order:
Dark blossom, mid blossom, light blossom, branches 1, branches 2, leaves, background dots, background, signature, background colour. Phew!
Funny, I decided on a toothbrush. Will Mrs MCs notice the red and blue stains on hers, I hope not.
hope you feel better today - do hot and humid nights have any impact on breathing?
So no hedge cutting today. Just sit on the bench and enjoy watching nature...
More chance of me winning The Derby than Hodit actually glamping but nice post. Not such a nice day up here, very windy!
I guess Boris' hair will be even wilder with the Johnsons camping over the firth.
No doubt he had to stake his tent down better last night and secure Wilfred's ladybird book on Lucretius to the handcuffs of his security guard so the little chap didn't lose it and get in a paddy.
It will be a whiz if he puts a sail on Wilfred's pram, they'll be the talk of all the glamping field and rival formula 1.
But feelings should not be allowed to take over and rule/ruin my life. You have every right to your feelings @SlimLizzy
The portrait gallery is truly impressive, beautiful work not just for its technique and digital mastering of the app but for the soul, expression and character you have captured also. Brilliant.Lung function raised to 91% of my normal so happy with that.
Couldn't do any gardening so ended up painting/drawing. Companions long gone but not forgotten

BrilliantFinish my wild flower meadow watercolur, it got a bit too dark in the foreground but useing Mrs MCs toothbrush for the flowers worked a treat even though I also managed to paint my desk, T shirt, hands, arms and unbelievably even the ceiling, yes I did get carried away. A4 in total about 90 minutes....

Thank you @gennepher. Your one looks way better than the one I am currently taking. I will get it from Amazon instead of re-ordering my one. This one:

It wasn't readable in thumbnail so I had to do a full pic.
