What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Beautiful! We have had stormy skies then sun all day. Very dramatic.
A gorgeous patchwork landscape @Muddy Cyclist
Thank you. The Heather did go darker than I wanted. I know some more dramatic Heather covered slopes but in The Peak District may take a run out and see if I can apture them Sunday.

This looks a brilliant day out @dunelm
I love the hint of colour and shrubland in the foreground.

Thank you for your comments, I really enjoyed doing the waterfall.
It looks like the inktense pencils work similar to the graphix painters in that they are quite intense but can be mellowed when blended with either water colour or even just a bit of water.
Lovely watercolour to finish on.

Thank you - the southern part of Snowdonia used to be a lot less trodden than the part north of Festiniog and you get a great ridge to walk along. There is of course just a wee bit south, the nice scree slopes of Cader Idris (Nice on top mind).

The Heather seen today on my Muddy Cycle ride, stormy sky but the sun lifted the heathland. A4 watercolour about 1 hour with some drying time between layers.

Wonderful patchwork below a stormy sky and a stunningly vivid foreground - we have masses of purple Heather up on the North Yorkshire Moors at present - Some farmers are now cutting and bailing it rather than burning.

Thank you. This is AONB area with SAC and SSSI status on it, rare Billberry crossed with Crow Berry unique to The Chase and a rare Butterfly so burning not done, however I know the rangers don't get into too much of a panic when there is a heathland fire. Some times the old ways are still the best.

Good Morning and 5.9 for me today.

Sunny start but some impressive clouds around. This morning we Will have a run out to Hen Cloud on the Staffordshire Moorlands to capture the moody atmosphere of the light. The run will give Wilfrid the VW camper something to do.

Let the day deliver what it will and make good use of the time it offers. Keep safe.

A weird shade of silver grey clouds here...

My painting for today in Procreate, 13 layers...
I really did not like layers yesterday but Alien Aspie posted a You Tube link on it. So I copied my dragon painting, and went in and had a play looking for all the settings shown in the video. Completely wrecked the dragon painting, couldn't figure out how to undo what I had done in the layers settings, so many of them for each layer, but in the process discovered how to get new effects...if I can figure out how to repeat them. I probably won't be able to, so that means each painting is a new adventure.

My painting for today...

That's a lot of layers to keep track of, admire your sticking power with this technology. Today's piece I found strangely disturbing a little frightening and yet it keeps drawing me back to take another look, the power of art on emotions. Good experiment and learning curve, look forward to the next adventure.

4.7 this morning. Trousers felt suddenly looser around waist so jumped on scales again and have lost another 3/4lb in a couple of days.

Have decided to keep going with the IF and limiting to 1400 calories as I am thinking that maybe - if the inches keep going off my waist - it will help my fasting blood sugars. Only problem is that I am bordering on becoming too slender which not a good look for someone of my.advanced years.

I really like this - sort of ghostly and ethereal.

Lots of layers and they do need naming and perhaps locking out when working on a specific layer. I tend to make a copy of something if I want to fiddle about with it. Same with brushes - make a copy, rename, experiment - then that’s the day gone!
Wonderfully scary, sad, spooky, frightened ghost of a girl. The eyes are so detailed.

Yay for the weight loss!

I wish some of my weight would disappear....I have only 2 meals a day, maybe occasionally one snack, so that means by default I am fasting from my last meal (around 12 noon) to the next day (around 6am). But I don't lose weight, however it does keep my blood sugar steady all day. Which I think is very important and it has contributed to my good eye health. If I eat a third meal (and my meals are small ones), then fbs rises quite a bit, and any readings during the day can be a little erratic.

I never feel hungry, although sometimes my stomach makes noises if I have forgotten to eat, and I wonder what this noise is following me around...

Congratulations, this is going so well for you and should certainly help your fasting blood sugars as you have probably already burned away any fat around your liver and pancreas. Brilliant.

Good morning all from a very autumnal feeling part of Suffolk. Best of first 2 Libre scans was , 4.3 at 5.30 so add 1 for safety and still below the 100. The next 2.5 seasons will either test my character and marriage to breaking point or my prayers will bring new ways to deal with them. Damp and cold weather, trousers and socks, layers of clothing (night clothes) hot lc food (why must I eat hot food Julie, I'm 65 and can make my own decisions) without my Fenland support pack. No apple trees to pick, turn into cider, give away then prune and spray. No raspberries, asparagus, strawberries and blackberries to cut back. No 4 tons of logs to stack, carry in and burn. Cyprus doesn't really want us this winter so no winter sun - I don't want to go somewhere else thank you TUI and the money back won't compensate November 3rd really needs to give me hope Looking forward to seeing how this will work - at a guess it will involve grandchildren, pups and Nordic walking Hug for all your ills @geefull.
Edit: Oh, I forgot the new heated coat with 2 power packs hiding somewhere - would be/have been ideal for Bury St Edmunds rugby watching. Oh, I've golf balls, whackers, togs and stuff as well.

I thought it would be hard to keep track of the layers @Muddy Cyclist but I stopped thinking of it as hard, and just thought intuitively with the layers. Curiously because my attitude changed, it wasn't hard at all.
Thank you

Thanks.
I haven't named or locked yet @dunelm The layers are numbered anyway, and I can remember. But when I get to more layers I might have a problem...
I did see how to do it on the YouTube video.

Yes, it is the day gone working on all this!!!!!

I have just had a nap (I am sleepy after finishing a digital painting), and in the dream I was in full flow explaining the ghost girl to some people, and why I was going to do a series on ghost girls. Then I woke up!!!!
