In a former life as a faculty secretary I taught myself Lotus 1-2-3 by doing summer softball league tables.
Looks like you have had a great time and well deserved. My toastie was heavenly. My guilty pleasure!Morning all. 4.9 today and yesterday was 5.6. Off home today sadly, we’ve had a wonderful time. Back to bins for a little tale - the people who ran the lovely hotel on Mull where we stayed, used to live in Bucks near where we were and Mr C used to ‘do’ their bins! Small world eh?
@Debandez belated birthday wishes, so sorry I missed it but have a wonderful birthday week. That toastie must have tasted great!
@SaskiaKC I’m loving the major hydrologic event. Who thinks these things up?
@PenguinMum keep those 5s coming. Seafood and walking certainly seem to do the trick for me so I hope you get some good weather next week. The waterproof is definitely a good idea though - looking forward to seeing you.
No time for breakfast today as we have a train to catch and this hotel doesn’t start serving til 8 on Saturday annoyingly.
Have a good weekend all
Lotus 123!!! / F S for saving files!! I used to teach that stuff at one time... as weird as it sounds!! Fir a while i was teaching college students then moved to corporate clients... teaching my dad’s colleagues what a floppy disk (the 5 and half inch ones) was fun....
Not happy for one reason or another with any of the runners. We are in a right mess. I dont feel any of this bunch could sort it out either. The rogues' gallery of potential PMs is very depressing, except for Rory Stewart. Thinking of leaving the country. I have my "gilet jaune" at the ready, in case I need to go native.
What a transformation. You look fantastic. You look and no doubt feel so much healthier after your incredible weight loss. Well done.Though i woke up with 6.3, after that breakfast (for those who are really keen, scroll up a few posts) i was happy with 5.5. So decided to treat myself a bit... with all the weight loss over the last year, it was time to revamp the wardrobe... so some shopping happened for age appropriate linen clotheshere we go ... pre vs. post
Before...
And today..
Morning...after yesterdays deluge relieved it's stopped for now thankfully...chores to do...sod it can't be bothered another coffee & the news which is sounding more & more like a confessional...second potential prime minister admits to taking class A drugs...who would have thought.. next please....woke to a 6.3
Sounds yummy.good morning all
4.8 today
it's grey again after the nice day yesterday, I'm just making a pudding for dinner with mum's visitor later today, apple pie and ice cream for the others and choc chip sponge with (homemade LC vanilla ) ice cream for me
mr gee got the decorating at mum's finished yesterday so we're set as far as I can tell, just need to pick up some flowers for mum.
Hope your day is going well
I love cream fortunately and find it to be one of the best parts to being LC. I have been LC for over 18 months and really need to start being more adventurous in the kitchen. My food is very repetitive. Especially as I am also cooking for my special needs BIL every day. He was diagnosed t2d a few months back. I deliver his meals on wheels most days. He is extremely fussy with his food. Hates sauces, spices, garlic, veg, loves bread, rice pasta and potatoes!!! Obviously I dont include those ingredients. He eats what i make. He gives brutally honest feedback when i ask whether he liked his dinner or not! I'm not easily offended Haha! Anyway I'm hoping to experiment more in the kitchen over the next few months. Need to follow the 'what have you eaten today thread'.@True Blue good man for not completing the French phrase. @Krystyna23040 great fbs and, absent work later, sounds like an idyllic start to the weekend. @Bildad great fbs again and hope the cream situation is resolved quick smart. I know @PenguinMum is one who finds cream a taste too far and over the past year I have started to question whether I enjoy it or just use it because I feel I should. I am more or less at 4 year anniversary of trying LC and my tastes even within LC have changed greatly over the past year. Anyone else find the same? Have a great weekend whatever the weather.
Diet doctor is a brilliant site. Lots of info without the techy jargon. Glad you got something from the link @PenguinMumThanks Debs. I found that most interesting
Yes please I would like to add my name. I think your list will be up to 17.4 million + in no time. Democracy will prevail.Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
Me and me's have been a bit wayward recently due to a life that's a bit busy.
As a quick aside me and me's have been asked to form a hit squad to deal with these self serving, expense fiddling, referendum denying politicians. If you would like to add your name to the list please do. Only 6 567 853 names so far.
An angry 7.8 stormed out of the meter this morning looking for a fight, so I pointed it at Mrs J peace was soon restored. Don't mess wif Mrs J.
According to the BBC's work of science fiction and fantasy, the weather forecast for this area says we might be able to get across the moat and trim the lawns etc. Have a good one folks.
Phew gennepher I can feel the tension just reading that...thank goodness I'd already tested my FBG...I'm not surprised your BG is up no doubt it played on your mind hence the reaction...I hope that's the end of it & you can relax a little today. Then maybe I can relax and my blood sugar levels will go down....
