Don't worry, your problem will pass. The solution is in motion. I mix 2 very large spoons of whole flaxseeds into my virtually daily salads for similar reasons. I've only ever used the powdered form of Psyllium husk. That problem is what I don't understand about the carni crew.5.5 this morning.
Yesterday I discovered psyllium husks. I thought they would be horrible but they weren't. I actually quite liked them in a glass of water (predictive text tried to insert wine instead of water).
It definitely looks as though they will sort out the one problem I have got with low carb food. I won't go into what that problem is - but I am sure you all know what it is.
Interesting. Has fasting caused you to wake earlier? I find fasting, OMADs and very low carb days definitely do that. Trawling the web gave me the impression that was common BUT I'm minded to blame everything sub-optimal on LC. The which is quite the opposite of the DCUK apostles creed.I've been up since 4 am, went on the cross trainer to burn some of this energy off. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep up with me (j/k)
4.7 is the score with ketones at 3.2 so all is good
Spent the rest of the early darkness working out the formula for my top end heart rate when exercising. It's between 134-140 which is lower than my heart rate walking up the hill yesterday (146) when my watch heartrate alarm went off. In future, I might take a breather at the bottom of the hill before ascending Everest
Frui diem!

I have some newly bought flax seeds and ... the same issue and it is not improving ... I don’t eat salads but I do have Greek yoghurt in the morning and was putting a flax/chia/cinnamon mix on that... should I bypass that and go for full on flax seeds?Don't worry, your problem will pass. It is addictive and I also found it gave more energy than I ever imagined. I lost the weight and am probably around the bottom of where I should be. I hope your weight does what you want.I believe it has. Pre this method I would sleep pretty much through the night and nap during the day like a cat, a fat cat.
Since the fast and having my body running on fat and not carbs I have, what seems, unlimited energy. Not sure that's a good thing at my age for the old heart. It is somewhat addictive though so I do need to be careful.
I will say the only reason for doing it is to lose some weight as I'm one of the unlucky T2s that followed the rules and didn't shed anything. Apart from that I was happy enough with my bloods in the fives.
All the gurus suggest ground flaxseeds but I find they work best whole. The Hemsley sisters have a great recipe for flaxseed bread and I/theFood Fairy developed a recipe for high fibre caramel(ish) bars which was in the LC cookbook published here. I'm not sure where that went. But here is a variantI have some newly bought flax seeds and ... the same issue and it is not improving ... I have to go get new veggies from Sainbo's tomorrow so will have look for bits and pieces but inulin? High fibre chocolate flaxseed bars base recipe: Per bar made in soap bar sized silicone mould
1.5 ounces or 42.5 gms flaxseeds
⅙ ounce 4.5 gms inulin
4.1 rows chcologic belgian chocolate or any lc choc you want
½ ounce or 14 gms butter
1 ounce or 28 gms cream
0 cal syrup (optional)
Grind the flaxseeds - flat blade of Nutri bullet works best- and mix with the inulin. Leave overnight as it mixes well and become very like a digestive biscuit. I use a kilner jar. Same idea makes an excellent cheesecake base
Melt the butter next day and mix with the flaxseed mixture
Melt the chocolate then add the cream
Add the dry ingredient to the wet
Fill the moulds, press down firmly and place in fridge for at least 1 day.
There are versions tha require making caramel with inulin - which caused some people to fill kitchen with smoke.
These were known for some time as CCBs (chocolate caramel bars) and store well in the fridge.I think some folks have frozen them.
Tom Kerridge put me on to that. One of maybe 2 LC sweeteners that can make a caramel - other one seems to be Lokanto Monkfruit sweetener. Became very popuar when Angela Rippon bigged it up on how to age well. I have 2 tsps of it every morning in my 750 mls mug of tea (first of 3). I buy mine here in bulk bags! Pretty sure Holland and Barrett and other places sell it. I don't know what Sainsbury's stock. The best versions of those bars involve setting the flaxseed mix then making inulin caramel on top, leaving in the fridge then melting the choc/cream mix and covering the bars. Bit of a faff.I have to go get new veggies from Sainbo's tomorrow so will have look for bits and pieces but inulin? Not sure I have ever heard of that?
Ahhhh my cousin's husband is a MASSSSSSIVE fan of Bulk Powders range! It led to one of our regular sparring sessions as I was trying to make Britwatch make some money and focusing on the Protein Powders I have affiliate links for and promoting through trying... but he buys the basic (not whey protein as he doesn't exercise to the same kind of degree - he walks)... will take a look.Tom Kerridge put me on to that. I like both of these @dunelmGood morning everyone from a bracing. morning in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of slow roasted poitrine de porc avec red cabbage in the Viennese fashion came in at 4.8 this am; a sort of common market classic - completely ruined as we decide to talk in English during dinner.
Silas has been betrayed at Lantern Yard and is now hiding at home and Joe has now grabbed a monster bunch of electoral votes, equal to Mr Blobby who is now back from the golf coarse to see how his latest money making scheme “fund my court battles” is getting on.
Two again today - one on rice paper and some daily bamboo practice on lining paper.
This Diwali let us give thanks for all we hold dear. Have a wonderful day if you can. Time for koffy.

Sounds like rocket fuel, must try that instead of senna.Don't worry, your problem will pass. The solution is in motion. That is amazing - thanks!@RFSMarch and anyone else this may be helpful. As usual with all of this it comes down to who you believe but it is a starting point.
