Thank you. I have cricket for now then I plan to be a domestic help, wander the Slabbingtons and await a joyous video call.An anxious and exciting day for your family, thinking of you all.
Thank you @geefull for your comments on my magpie and sorry to read that you are in the painting doldrums. I get like that and resort to doodling on my backing paper. Anyhow, smashing seascape, reflecting the mood of the current weather.Good evening all
4.8 today
Sunday dinner at Mum's again today and a bit more snow shovelling to try to clear her drive. A very mild chicken curry for dinner, (much milder than mr gee and I prefer but Mum isn't keen on anything spicier)
followed it up with a hybrid of baked custard and almond clafoutis. I added four broken up sponge fingers to the bottom of the dish and then a dozen physalis berries cut in half. Poured over a custard made of an egg, double cream and almond milk, beaten together with some erythritol, truvia and vanilla and with 2tbsp of ground almonds. Left it to soak for an hour and then baked it. (For myself I wouldn't add sponge fingers but this was for Mum, I had LC chocolate sponge with full fat greek yoghurt)
Sponge fingers are about 5.3g of carb each and physalis are 11g carb per 100g so still fairly carb controlled. It made three reasonable portions to serve with a drizzle of extra cream so probably about 10g carb per portion.
Hope your day is treating you kindly
@SlimLizzy - I hope the situation warms up soon for you, (and without leaks ) and Errant isn't too dischuffed.
@gennepher - very effective snow scene today, I love how the tree works against the light
@dunelm - handsome magpie and very effective pine cone and needles, your perspective always works
@Muddy Cyclist - A gentle pat for Moet and a hug for you, it's so hard when our pets are in painhope the renewed medication helps quickly.
A fantastic, majestic tree now that it's finished, the light you have brought to the tree is particularly well painted
art bit - I'm going through a patch where I don't think much of anything I'm painting, perhaps it's a bit like playing golf, some days every drive will land well and sometimes it's the bunkerIt will pass You will see what I mean when I get to the next batch of scanned paintings.
Hope you're not too fed up of land/seascapes.

Turning a failure into something of interest - and very festive - let’s have some bubbly - don’t forget to stay warm.Fbg 6.9
Been awake since 1:30, not tired so painting and writing postcards....
Digital painting in Procreate.
I was trying to achieve another snow painting like yesterday. But it didn't happen. It was meant to be snow and silver birches...
But somehow I failed at the silver birches, and so I just played with different brushstrokes in Procreate instead. Sometimes using left hand fingers, sometimes using right hand fingers. At all times I have Popeye between me and iPad, so it gets a little tricky at times...
So this is my 'failed' silver birch snow painting!
And a pic of his lordship...and yes I am wearing my outdoors fleece jacket in bed, with everything available piled on the bed to keep warm! And that is this post half written on the iPad!

All the very best to you and your family, with the hope and anticipation of the joy that another granddaughter will bring.Good morning everyone. In the temporal world another granddaughter due today so much excitement tinged with concern. All that I need has been graciously met, indeed exceeded so thanks be to God. Swipey was 5.2 today - unpromising cloud in otherwise blue sky. Magnificent sweet chestnut @Muddy Cyclist and hopeful news of Moet. So creative with both art work and culinary delights @geefull. I admire the fighting spirit I see in the art and dealing with life's problems @gennepher. I'm not ecstatic about this spell in the wilderness (woe failure) but I obviously need some humility. Not literally manna or water from the rock but all and always from the same God. Have a great day.
Really good news that Moet is much more comfortable. Hopefully the You Move won't upset his stomach.Moet seems more comfortable today so probably not needing to visit vet.
Hope you don't have too long to wait for your joyous video call.Thank you. I have cricket for now then I plan to be a domestic help, wander the Slabbingtons and await a joyous video call.
Thank you. DIL is one of three C-sections there today so it could be some time. My wait is what it is the main event is all that matters. Thoughts and prayers are always welcome though.Hope you don't have too long to wait for your joyous video call.
Really good news that the antibodies lasted nearly 10 months and also that you will be shortly getting the Covid vaccine. You did really well to recover from Covid 19 so quickly and without major issues even though you are immune compromised.Well I splashed the cash and bought myself an antibodies test kit and lo and behold I still have still some antibodies ! This is from last April when I thought I had a touch of flu but it turned out to be Covid 19 . Not bad for an immune compromised Diabetic! Now I'm going ahead and getting the Covid vaccination re work .
