What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

04.03.2021
7.50am FBG 5.8 again too many chocs, unless it was the small baked potato I had with dinner. Still at least the choc are all gone now. Had more wine than usual too. Could this be why I slept all night? Unless that was the unaccustomed physical activity yesterday. Bonfire feeding again. Great long leylandii branches, some twice my height, are quite heavy. I was really keeping an eye on our hosts small children who probably didn't have permission to play with fire but had managed to get it going from yesterdays hot ashes.

Hug for the cut finger and cold Popeye but for me that is a truly wonderful piece of art. You are the epitome of we shall overcome. Look after that digit.

Stress.....what a scare with Popeye.
OUCH......that finger sounded painful.
Cool........pics very effective, considering the medium & Hands + poorly finger..amazing stuff

Take care, Genn.

Hi @HarryBeau

Any update on this ?

Hoping he's improving day by day,
So your back to the normal
"oh CHARLIE ..NO"

As he takes part in the cat indoors curtain qualifiers, ( in Catford, obv )

Also hope your nieces recovery is going to plan, sounds like it's a slow process.

I can't bounce back from this. I am done.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. Busy morning so far here in Tilehurst Towers. Dropped the cage, motorcyclist speak for car off for a service and mot then slowly walked home. Mrs J will be collecting it later today....hopefully.

A straight 6 on that meter of misbehaving and mystery this morning.

Yesterday afternoon I had my telephonic consultation with the hospital diabetic consultant. He is pleased with my diabetic control, especially my HbA1c which was 52, now quite a few of you regular posters will be throwing your hands up in horror, but when take into account the rest of my medication you will understand why he was pleased.
He also confirmed the way I regulate my insulin dosage is correct, which is in direct contradiction of what the diabetic nurse's say. Bitter experience has taught me to ignore anything they tell me.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers and I hope you are well. Stay safe, stay well and throw caution to the wind and drink more koffy. A smile costs nothing.

Throwback Thursday thought for today...
Happy Jeudi tous!

PS 2 hours after breakfast, bloods are 5.4 - seems the Covid vaccination after effects from the Astra Zeneca jab are over...

It was a scare with him. I had convinced myself it was the end for him. But he just needed some gentle heat for awhile...
It was painful, but I am taking care of it @jjraak
Thank you very much for the painting compliment

Thank you. So far a very good day indeed. 6 monthly bladder cancer check all clear and all handled as smoothly as possible. Private hospital doing NHS checks. No entry without thorough sanitising and wearing one of their masks. As I already had 2 on I ended up wearing 3.

Doors keep getting slammed in my face. So wonderful for you if you can spot opportunities. Not happening for me.

Virtual hug for the cut finger. Popeye is such a lucky little cat to have you care for it

That’s good, that you has it.
Hope all is well with it @Mrs T 123
Yes I felt a bit flu-ish last night with chills and shivers and my hands and feet were freezing in bed so I dug out the old hot water bottle ... felt quite sick early this morning but since having something to eat I am starting to feel better so hopefully I am over the worst of it. My body has defo reacted to it so hopefully built up some immunity
