My lack of mathematical skills left me a bit confused D Day minus 4? But I reckon it's either your birthday today or you have just had a Birthday or going to have a birthday so on the safe side...6.6 this am, after the first meal out last night in 18 months with visiting eldest and s.i.l.
I ate so much I had difficulty sleeping...very naughty but nice.
Attractive surroundings of the old Brayton Park Estate with the park lake and open golf course all around with open views of the Northern Fells a few miles away standing out in great clarity.
It was my 82 birthdays eve.....born D. Day minus 4 in a world so different to today but with other madmen bent on threatening all our futures.
Have great sunday every one

Have a simply amazing 82nd birthday. The scenery and meal last night sound perfect for such a wonderful man. Images and menu scrub up well on The Net. Go well big man. Being born in June in The Fens6.6 this am, after the first meal out last night in 18 months with visiting eldest and s.i.l.

Meeeooow >^..^<Hello Popeye
Absolutely great.Good morning everyone from a shapeless, amorphous start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of just one more salad came in at 5.4 this am - iceburg is better suited to penguins and zooplankton.
Ninky nonks now safely back home with rested parents and toy boxes have been re-packed. Son handed over the little rocking horse for our youngest grandchild to use - We bought it in France 15 years ago and is now into it’s 6th rider. Bit like the Queen and successive PM’s. (No - don’t be rude).
Vaccination clinic went swimmingly, just shy of 400 turned up and we were finished before noon. Happy days.
The cobbler is now back open for business so a pair of old boots has now been brought back into use. I did buy a replacement pair during the lockdown so I am now consulting our daughter (our local Marcos specialist) as to how they should be stored - should they, for instance, be kept in a bag when not in use. Should I have a specially designed boot rack - I could put wellies on it as well. - oh, and also my two pairs of motorcycling footwear.
Another monoprint - about 14 inches by 25 inches on unsized rice paper. Have a great day if you can. I am starting with koffy.

Lovely painting and your ice cream recipes look good also.good evening all
4.9 today
late posting today, we had another warmish day so I went out fairly early to do some strimming before it got too hot, the weather forecast held out the promise of a bit of rain, but nope, no rain
We'll rake up tomorrow probably
Came back inside and decided to use the pot of single cream I got reduced yesterday (20p in Lidl), so it's now part of a tub of homemade rum and raisin ice creamSoaked a few raisins in a mix of rum and lemon juice then used the single cream, some greek yoghurt, almond milk and a little double cream for the base, sweetened with truvia then added more rum, a little lemon essence and the raisins. Jolly good too
Whilst I was shuffling things in the freezer to make room for the R+R ice cream mr gee suggested that the part bag of forest fruits could be thawed and pureed to make space and become part of the next batch. I didn't have a lot of double cream left so I decided to try using some canned coconut milk mixed with yoghurt and double cream. Sieved the puree to get rid of the seeds before I made it and it seems to have worked out ok
Hope your day has been gentle with you
@lindisfel - such a beautiful sunset
@jjraak - sound like good progress
@dunelm - I really like the dramatic colours in today's art, works very well
@gennepher - hugs for the tiredness but winner for determination
Not so a lazy picture, it's a fine colourful sketch
art bit - painted on Fabriano studio

Popeye's gone to Japan for his holidays or in his dreams.Fbg 6.6
My hands still tired.
I deleted ZenBrush3 from iPad.
It was causing too many problems, not behaving, heating up my iPad badly, and no update in sight. And I have contacted the developers.
Also on my new Pixel 4a the ZenBrush3 app behaves horrendously badly as well. None of the paint strokes work properly. And it heats up my new phone almost instantly. So there is some flaw on the app.
So, ZenBrush3 had been banished from every device apart from the only device it works on is on my old 3a pixel phone small screen. But my hands and eyes don't feel like a tiny phone screen for art today...
I am sad because I really like what ZenBrush3 is capable of.
So resurrected ZenBrush2 which is just black and red.
I need a nap...

Well done on the vaccine volunteers front and restoration of old boots. Hoss sounds a wonderful family possession and a lot less work than the real things.Good morning everyone from a shapeless, amorphous start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
