What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

My lack of mathematical skills left me a bit confused D Day minus 4? But I reckon it's either your birthday today or you have just had a Birthday or going to have a birthday so on the safe side...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

And if I'm totally wrong, enjoy it anyway.

Good morning everyone from a shapeless, amorphous start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of just one more salad came in at 5.4 this am - iceburg is better suited to penguins and zooplankton.

Ninky nonks now safely back home with rested parents and toy boxes have been re-packed. Son handed over the little rocking horse for our youngest grandchild to use - We bought it in France 15 years ago and is now into it’s 6th rider. Bit like the Queen and successive PM’s. (No - don’t be rude).
Vaccination clinic went swimmingly, just shy of 400 turned up and we were finished before noon. Happy days.

The cobbler is now back open for business so a pair of old boots has now been brought back into use. I did buy a replacement pair during the lockdown so I am now consulting our daughter (our local Marcos specialist) as to how they should be stored - should they, for instance, be kept in a bag when not in use. Should I have a specially designed boot rack - I could put wellies on it as well. - oh, and also my two pairs of motorcycling footwear.

Another monoprint - about 14 inches by 25 inches on unsized rice paper. Have a great day if you can. I am starting with koffy.

5.5 this lovely sunny morning.
I may have found the perfect way to disguise eggs. Inulin powder didn't work too well as a sweetener because I had to use so much that it caused issues. Yesterday, after a lot of reading about artificial sweeteners I bought some erythitrol - which doesn't seem too harmful.

A teaspoon sprinkled on top of my little chia protein powder pancakes plus lemon juice was perfect. Today I made a chia protein powder, (20g) , 2 eggs plus 5g butter and 3 tsps erythritol it seems to have made a nice sort of little flat cake in my little frypan with lid on.

Maybe a little too sweet. Will know later when we eat lunch overlooking the water lillies at Gooderstone water gardens.

Have a simply amazing 82nd birthday. The scenery and meal last night sound perfect for such a wonderful man. Images and menu scrub up well on The Net. Go well big man. Being born in June in The Fens is the best a man can get - so "they" say

Absolutely great.
Love it @dunelm

To be on the safe side, my maths is nil...my brain is nil this morning, as is the rest of me...

Happy Birthday Derek.

Lovely painting and your ice cream recipes look good also.

Ice cream sounds amazing.

What a lovely painting and as usual great light and depth, a really pleasing picture, love it.

Popeye's gone to Japan for his holidays or in his dreams.

Hugs for your discomforts.

Well done on the vaccine volunteers front and restoration of old boots. Hoss sounds a wonderful family possession and a lot less work than the real things.

That's a massive piece of art you have produced, I hope the fishermans boat is well anchored beneath that waterfall.

Just jumped out of our skins and the old house rattled and shook, earthquake, volcanic eruption, invasion? Local cooling towers flattened, we had forgotten it was today, how different the views will now be, sad but also better.

Got a great deal yesterday, took the small trailer full of weeds to the tip and brought it home full of woodchips. FREE! The local stores charge €10 for 40 litres. Put in some more seeds and plants, prepared soil is filling up fast.
Have been digging out weeds for a couple of hours. Had to stop though, am getting blisters.
No dig gardening sounded great until I realised it would cost a fortune to set up. Make raised beds, line with cardboard, fill with compost. Keep on adding compost every year. Unaffordable for us.
Extremely tired so sat down and ate some cheese. Too much cheese. So now feeling exhausted and queasy. Am supposed to be painting the ensuite shower room later. Appropriately with a pale green paint. If I can ever get myself moving again.

Did you note the deliberate mistake!
1939 is 5 years before 1944!
I have obviously lost the ability to count.
D.

Thanks Ian, I have the bog trotter feet to get through the quags!
