I am late today. wanted to do the final push to finish this hedging/fencing/camouflage between me and AH new neighbour.
I keep getting demoralised and my body says we are not doing any more on this 'cos I'm tired. Well I am tired of it too...
I kept reaching dead stop today and had to have a nap...

It is possible I finished an hour ago, but I need to check/inspect/examine it in the morning. And if I am happy, I will proclaim it finished.

But then I need to put the finishing touches to the ground in front of it. I have trampled it, and so I need to re create it. I have some plants that like shade and some ferns in pots which may appreciate being released from the confines of their pots.

I want to make that area look nice.

But I didn't do my painting this morning. I have done it just now in ZenBrush3. And ZenBrush3 was misbehaving very badly, it was broke, but broke half way through the painting. My fingers have no drawing ability or any control this end of a day's hard work in the garden and they hurt badly. They are far too stiff and uncooperative. This is after Lin Fengmian again.

So a lousy painting, but hey I did it.

Winner for battling on with AH counter measures and still producing artwork despite discomfort. A real tough cookie.

Definitely not a lousy painting. It actually is brilliant.

good evening all :)

4.9 today

late posting today, we had another warmish day so I went out fairly early to do some strimming before it got too hot, the weather forecast held out the promise of a bit of rain, but nope, no rain :sorry:
We'll rake up tomorrow probably ;)

Came back inside and decided to use the pot of single cream I got reduced yesterday (20p in Lidl), so it's now part of a tub of homemade rum and raisin ice cream :D Soaked a few raisins in a mix of rum and lemon juice then used the single cream, some greek yoghurt, almond milk and a little double cream for the base, sweetened with truvia then added more rum, a little lemon essence and the raisins. Jolly good too :hilarious:

Whilst I was shuffling things in the freezer to make room for the R+R ice cream mr gee suggested that the part bag of forest fruits could be thawed and pureed to make space and become part of the next batch. I didn't have a lot of double cream left so I decided to try using some canned coconut milk mixed with yoghurt and double cream. Sieved the puree to get rid of the seeds before I made it and it seems to have worked out ok :)

Hope your day has been gentle with you :)

@lindisfel - such a beautiful sunset :joyful:

@jjraak - sound like good progress :)

@dunelm - I really like the dramatic colours in today's art, works very well :)

@gennepher - hugs for the tiredness but winner for determination :)
Not so a lazy picture, it's a fine colourful sketch ;)

Thanks very much @geefull
A beautiful painting. I could so easily swim in that sea just now…

My hands still tired.
I deleted ZenBrush3 from iPad.
It was causing too many problems, not behaving, heating up my iPad badly, and no update in sight. And I have contacted the developers.
Also on my new Pixel 4a the ZenBrush3 app behaves horrendously badly as well. None of the paint strokes work properly. And it heats up my new phone almost instantly. So there is some flaw on the app.
So, ZenBrush3 had been banished from every device apart from the only device it works on is on my old 3a pixel phone small screen. But my hands and eyes don't feel like a tiny phone screen for art today...
I am sad because I really like what ZenBrush3 is capable of.

So resurrected ZenBrush2 which is just black and red.

I need a nap...

Greetings on Corpus Christi Sunday or just plain lovely and sunny, no socks, no base layers and thermal tops, no cooking Sunday. I didn't even grit my teeth and think of England when planting some flowers yesterday. Amazing what good weather and a wife with a broken ankle can do to an otherwise sane chap. Swipey was adamant yesterday's 18 gms carb load produce 4.2 on my app. May not be true but way more motivating than stabbing fingers multiple times, getting a series of disparate readings and errors then renting the morning air with a stream of expletives. Great art yesterday @geefull and intriguing ice cream recipes. Investigating the cupboards, I notice we have an ice cream maker - maybe I won't throw it away. Though I am trying to stay away from fat and keep to a max of 1650 cals just now - can live with 1400. @karen8967 hug for silly o'clock but good numbers again. Glad the yogurt was so good yesterday @Krystyna23040 - don't be taking some with you on your travels in case you come over all Meg Ryan;);) Moscow, I have an appointment with a choice of vacuum cleaners. @SlimLizzy a) you are married to someone far more suitable and b) you may not have quite understood how I roll.

6.6 this am, after the first meal out last night in 18 months with visiting eldest and s.i.l.
I ate so much I had difficulty sleeping...very naughty but nice.

Attractive surroundings of the old Brayton Park Estate with the park lake and open golf course all around with open views of the Northern Fells a few miles away standing out in great clarity.

It was my 82 birthdays eve.....born D. Day minus 4 in a world so different to today but with other madmen bent on threatening all our futures.

Have great sunday every one

Counter strike on AH moving along but better have some back up plans - rebar comes to mind :wacky:. Your Lin Fengmian inspired art is smashing.

Thank you @geeful and also for inspiring ice cream recipes. Your Fabriano is working well - or more likely your brush skills. The light in this painting is wonderfully executed.
