What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Were off to benidorm penguinmum cant wait we stay away from the rowdy parts of a night and there are some lovely places to visit. people knock benidorm but there is something for everyone
I have been to Benidorm many moons ago and it is a town of two halves: the old traditional part and club central. The beach was stunning. I love Spain anyway.
Have a brilliant time.

@DJC3 re denis.
we had similar problkem with our cat early days different species/breeds admittedly
but a ankle bangle with bells on sorted that. though to be honest that only worked for the girls..
mighr work for denis situation..?

@dunelm @gennepher
while not 100% true the old adage there are no bad dogs only bad owners... rings kinda true here.

And @gennepher
how annoying frustrating is the ear insert technology being.
though i suspect its come to market too early, i can see why many would use it,
and although extremely temperamental, the idea of it being out even as beta means others are {hopefully} giving meaningful feedback and improve life for those coming behind you.
(be nice if the manufacturer's recognised that and offered some 'reward' for the service you guys are undoubtedly providing to them with you feedback.

@PenguinMum ..i'd second the 10 cal jelly.
though i do also make up the hartley low sugar version..(and cheekily use the old 10 cal pots as jelly moulds..)
and double cream..lovely stuff...never used to like it but since DX, it;s my favourite 'pudding' additive.

And @karen8967
enjoy the hols.hope you have a GREAT time..
but ya know the rules, pics and updates for us back on the forum.. ..if youd be so kind.

I agree, it's come to market far too early. I give my feedback to the hospital, typed on a sheet of paper. They will be getting another one. This is probably the manufacturers using us to test this in beta mode, a cheapskate way of doing it, in my opinion.

You have just given me an idea..as in 'be nice if the manufacturer's recognised that and offered some 'reward' for the service you guys are undoubtedly providing to them with you feedback'...my bran cog wheels are turning...

Evening folks, been a bit preoccupied with life away from forums etc.

My reading yesterday was 5.9 and today 7.0.

For those tennis fans it's on again.....yep the wobblies of Wimbledon, Mrs J has commandeered the idiot box. I shall get nothing out of her, food etc for the next 2 weeks. This happens every year, I am used to it.

Only taking over the TV young Alfred? Julie lived close enough to hear the balls being hit.

perhaps, and there may already be one, but a users group, which would bring all the data together and PERHAPS give you all a voice in how the product moves forward would be the way to go.?

I think i'd be one to begin a post in the product reviews you have mentioned, with a link to such a thing if there isn't already one.

good luck.

Thanks.

I am not a lover of Facebook, but it has its uses. I do belong to some groups on there. I admit I don't look very often, but needs must. So, I will make some enquires. I need something online with this.

I do physically go to an actual Cochlear group monthly, but the few people that have the same new processor as I have are not interested in going forward with this. They are older than me, and not au fey with technology. They all have the same problems. They are worried about rocking the boat. And this is so frustrating to me.

Thanks for your input and for the good wishes.

You’re right, I don’t think anyone would think to mention it to their GP - it isn’t something that happens overnight so the association would be hard. I certainly never thought about it.

Just catching up after a few days.

Your post made me sad. Very sad. Especially the amputee in the wheelchair eating crisis, a sandwich and drinking diet coke probably has no idea how much sugar he has just consumed. Probably eats the same most days too. All those amputees in the same room. Really hits home. What a horrendous experience for you. On a lighter note you had great feedback re your eyes. You must have been so relieved.

Thanks @jjraak I can’t wait to tell Mr C, a grumpy old Yorkshireman than he should wear bells on his ankles. That’s really made my night!
Does really sound as if it could work though. Good suggestion, even if just for the grandchildren.
