Quite right. Farmers (good ones) wait until after harvest and ploughing before hedging. They also don't rake up the trimmings. Also you surely wait to collect sloes, blackberries and hips. Does need a proper hedge though not conifers. Here in France it is currently illegal for me to cut the hedge. Have to wait until end of the month. Law is to protect nesting birds.

It was the same when I had my hearing dogs @Krystyna230405.1 this morning. Still relaxing with a coffee but must 'get into gear ' in a moment to take the dogs out for their morning walk. If we didn't have our dogs I definitely would not be going out for a walk - I would be relaxing with another coffee. Funnily enough, once we start our walk I am really happy to be out and about in the fresh air.
Yes and such a good idea - look what happened to @gennepher’s hedge with that numb nut next door. Quite a lot of my family (parents, a brother, a sister) live in the Charente Maratime - we have been restricted to zoom calls - better than nothing I suppose but am chomping at the bit to get over and see them. Here in France it is currently illegal for me to cut the hedge. Have to wait until end of the month. Law is to protect nesting birds.
Smashing collage and well worth the effort with the various apps and tools.Fbg 6.2
I ate a few naughties yesterday, yet my Fbg is down a bit.
But I have found if I eat what I call are naughty foods (occasionally) in the morning before my last meal of the day at about midday to 1pm then it seems to be okay. My weakness? Fresh cream eclair which I buy at the philately postmaster's shop. It comes all the way from Nantwich, and is delivered just as I am parking my car! It is the village shop also and sells quite a few nice specialist foods.
Creative photo for today.
Popeye doing his morning walks in my garden. I am using a collage app, and then putting it in Snapseed for name and the frame, and using the healing tool to blur the straight boundaries between the photos...and I used the burn tool to lighten Popeye's eyes and darken the pupil because they were not very well defined with using smaller photos for the collage process.
I cannot stop messing and exploring different apps!
The flowers are mostly wild flowers. The blue one bottom right is speedwell and covers the paths in June. I think it is very beautiful, although most people regard it as a weed, and this appears to be the last speedwell flower for this year. The others are white dead nettle, buttercup, and a couple of different pink flowers from the cranesbill family. Popeye loves eating grass, and you can see his teeth are pearly white, despite his age of 29 years. All other cats I have had, their teeth were definitely brown by the time they got to 10 years old...
Looks another fine day today. Better than all the torrential rain we have been having. I have always bought houses at the top of a hill, I have this thing about water and flooding, and I always want to be as high above it as possible...

That was funny (not really) but I have given up saying I do not want the bread, otherwise I am stuck there at the till an extra 5 mins while they decide what to do about a person who does not want the bread...Good morning everyone on a bright and sunny bird chirping Disney like start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of yet more chicken in yet more spiced up and zingy tomato and roasted red pepper sauce came in at 5.5 this am. I don’t roast my own peppers - they come in a very useful jar.
Out on my bike yesterday - over to a place called Sandsend to check out a cafe called The Wit’s End - it has a courtyard garden. Nearest thing was a cumbrian sausage ciabatta roll with an extra egg and ditch the roll - sometimes it is best to just get the roll and ditch it rather than try to explain when the spark is not shining very brightly. Nice pot of tea, proper cup and saucer, plenty of milk.
Art stuff - same background as yesterday - a profile of Cat Bells - but a different foreground - think I will do similar today - anyhow, have a fab Friday thunderbirds, Koffy.
