A relief the numbers are going down, corresponding nicely with the foot swelling. Is today the start of your big drive?
 

Me too. I’d be happy never to drive again. Must start buying a lottery ticket!

And here is a pic of the art work I did in garage yesterday. First time experimenting with string painting. These are the best of a bad bunch. It’s only my first attempt. I need to try again. I promised I would teach it at my art class on Thursday. They want to do a feather. I haven’t figured out yet how to do a feather...

Odd about the false hypos but at least you are aware of them. @Bubbsie you are so brave just driving around the M25 scares me seems there are no rules, pile into the outside lane, undertake across several lanes, heavy goods in the wrong lane, its a free for all.@DJC3 big day for Dennis am excited for him, should be fun for you too!

Most major cities have a completely different driving speed and pattern to other cities - rythym for want of a better word. Brussels traffic is different to Singapore traffic which is completely different to Bangkok traffic etc. It usually took a short while of driving carefully and defensively before my reactions adjusted to the tempo for each particular city.
Though I have to say that driving in Brussels was completely nuts.
I took my driving test in London, though I didn’t have a car there.

@gennepher amazing artwork, such talent. @Bildad hugs for the migraine and hope Dr can offer help. @Krystyna23040 that must have been a sobering conversation. @HarrisonK hope the hospital appt is helpful. @karen8967 enjoy the pampering and holiday. @Viv19 hope as the toe improves the numbers fall in line with your normal. 4.9 today and fitbit stats show just how low energy last week was. Sorry if I missed people I should tag but rushing off to decrepit old timers swimming.
 
@ianpspurs yes it was a sobering conversation. It reminded me why I am being so vigilant about keeping off the carbs. I had got really caught up with the meticulous logging of my food intake and blood sugars and had sort of forgotten why I was doing it. I feel that remembering the 'why' is quite important for me and will keep me continuing on the 'straight and narrow'.
 
Thank you for your concern @DJC3 @PenguinMum @Viv19 @ianpspurs @johnpol @Krystyna23040 They leave me feeling drained for a full day after the pain subsides. When I get a run of them I don't recover from the first one before the next one strikes. The medication leaves me feeling tired but does stop the pain and nausea. I really do not want to be taking any more meds as the side effects of them are almost as bad as the ailment in many cases.
Ah well there are worse things in life. Onwards and upwards
