Thank you@ianpspurs. I especially like the "young" lady part.Wonderful story from an amazing lady. Take jolly good care of yourself young lady.
All the best with your move, we are moving into a bungalow also.Thank you@ianpspurs. I especially like the "young" lady part.. Very busy atm moving to a bungalow after 46+years in the same house.
Brilliant tree @dunelmGood morning everyone from a decidedly gloomy start here in the dark and dangerous north. Just gloom and Dark Sky is not thinking about rain today.
The wonder wheel of heck sausages and eggs fell about the floor at 4.9 this am
Girl in the bubble today - unusual for a Monday - we will probably have her for three days. I expect that a visit to the park is on the cards later this morning. Better get my skates on, she will be here very shortly and I have still to make koffy.

Thank you@dunelm. Wishing you happiness and contentment in your new home. We have spent 46 happy years in our house but it's not mobility friendly. We stayed here for so long to care for our parents who lived close by. Sadly three have passed away and mum has had to move to a nursing home so apart from good neighbours we have no real reason to stay. All the best with your move, we are moving into a bungalow also.
Thank you@gennepher. It is our very first move after 46 years in our marital home. I can't believe how much stuff we have accumulated over the years!Good luck for the move @dogslife
Thank you@ianpspurs.Good morning all. 4.6 on Swipey at 2.57 rising to 4.9 by 4.11. Why so early? Phone call from the service that monitors 91 yo MIL Her system showed "an event" and she didn't answer their call. Julie rushed round to find an amazed mum wide awake - "oh, I heard a noise but didn't realise it was the phone." Must have turned over too sharply and dangled arm out of the bed. This could be fun. So, normies Yorkshire and merlot gravy experiment yesterday. Fabulous Yorkshire just as I like it. None of that cardboard, flavourless jobby. Mucho beef drippings and as soft as a wonderfully soft thing. Big peak on Swipey at 40 mins then a steep fall to a .5 rise at 2 hrs before falling into 3s and mid 4s until bedtime. Highly unusual 2 glasses of Medoc and hourly steps seems to have tamed the beast. The Yorkshire itch - 6 years long and very annoying - finally well scratched. Spurs won. Yorkshire, wine - kindly reduced by W - and cheap as chips rib of beef (W) perfick. Barista almond milk latte experiment - bg dropped. Shame about the rude awakening but a genuinely great Feast of The Blessed Virgin Mary. You do gotta love a feast or two. @dogslife hug for the stress of moving but enjoy the bungalow. I'm the clown who went the other way - for now. Have a great day y'all I need tea.
I can very much believe how much stuff you have accumulated!Thank you@gennepher. It is our very first move after 46 years in our marital home. I can't believe how much stuff we have accumulated over the years!
We have wild red squirrels here, but as I said before, elusive. We will have even less chance of seeing any now with the demise of the walnut tree. They have a breeding programme for red squirrels and they are kept in runs for a while and then they release them into the wild so they are not kept in captivity very long.
They were releasing them in Anglesey but there are so many there now that they are now releasing them in Scotland where there are also pine martens.
The grandchildren love watching the squirrels run around.
Oh dear for all the trials and tribulations with the tile adhesive @SlimLizzy16.08
FBG 6.5
Rough night, again. Not sleeping well at the moment. Mood very low, motivation poor.
MrSlim has been working on the little hallway between the salon, (living room) and the kitchen/stairs. But for some reason the tile adhesive has not set. We have been balancing on a couple of planks and going round the long way, ie outside, for days now. To make it even less convenient the outside light has stopped working, so now risking life, limb and sanity falling over tomato plants in the dark with tea tray in hand.
Yesterday we finalised plans for short trip back to UK. In ten days time. Still need to find someone to feed the cat while we are away. Garden will have to look after itself.
They are definitely elusive as they run so fast. There is no way we would have seen them if they were not in their runs and even in their runs they would disappear into the bushes and trees. It was lovely watching them at the feeding stations. That was the only time they stood still. We have wild red squirrels here, but as I said before, elusive. We will have even less chance of seeing any now with the demise of the walnut tree.
So sorry to hear of your strife Derek. Best wishes for a return to normal. I know you are a man of great faith but it must be a help to have your daughter and the Duchess in your corner as well. Two Trinitys, a sixfold cord, must be amazingly strong. Take care and God be with you.H Guys,
Spent the last 3+days in bed feeling exhasted only getting up for meals!
I didn't even go off my food when I had Sepsis in 1997.
But I feel I have turned a corner today.
I did the PCR test this am and then the Duchess posted it in Wigton. Should get results tomorrow, its not nice stroking one's tonsils with a probe... I gagged a lot....then twizzling it up ones nostrils ads to the thrill. The whole hassle is not user friendly.
Daughter helped out on whatsapp putting stuff on website but she has a long shift from 1100 to 2000 at a walk in.
Thanks for prayers and good wishes
Derek
