What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Greetings one and all. Sufficient unto the day - a saying my grandmother was fond of using - is the theme today. Swipey offered up 5.4. By the Grace of God 8 hr slow cooked brisket on since 5.40; for the first time since moving here Feb 7th 2020 30 mins exercise bike in the converted garage (charity shop Welsh dresser (our boys put the top of ours in a skip) storing all sorts and plenty of sport to watch in the comfort of the armchair given by downsizing relatives; fit in steps for 12 hrs and let Monday take care of itself. Great kaleidoscope @gennepher, thank you. @dunelm thanks in advance for your art. @lindisfel I think that is how the water is heated hence the need to run the heating. Our system has confused every B Gas engineer and the plumber who replaced the toilets, en suite and bathroom. Y'all be kind and gentle, stay safe and fight the good fight.

We watched the final episode last night. We did enjoy the series.

British Gas have been trying the last 10 years to tell/persuade/push me that my 17 year old boiler needs replacing because the parts won't continue to be available @lindisfel

Well my central heating boiler is still going strong...

And so is this old boiler who wouldn't mind some replacement parts, but she is still going...

Wonderful kaleidoscope pattern - good for wrapping paper and printed material. Not sure about wallpaper but hey, give it a go.

Great plan @Krystyna23040. I like Grape Tree for almonds to make milk (yes, I know they pinch too much Californian water but cows emit gasses) and flaxseed. Our nearest one now is Ely. Y'all have a good day - sausage roll or not

Good morning on a late to rise brisk and sunny morning here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of an up and down night dropped in at 5.8 this am

Girl in the bubble stay over last night but not the usual happy bunny. Up at least twice during the night wailing into the baby alarm at the side of our bed like a manaic alarm clock from the Lunatic clock maker of Lublin. Flu jabs went well. No patient had to wait for more than 5 minutes so I think a goodly number kept to their appointment times.Started at 0745 with my jab and the last person through the door at 17 minutes past one. Today is an unknown - Mrs Miggins and the girl in the bubble are still sleeping.
Quick tree sketch this morning, thanks for the anticipation @ianpspurs. Have a splendid Sunday. Where is that koffy?

The Grape Tree only recently opened in Dereham. I get my Chia Seed Protein powder and psyllium husk there. It has proved to be a very popular store.

Brilliant @dunelm
I love the delicate branches on this old tree.
More please...

Hugs for the Girl in the Bubble...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, panic stations here in Tilehurst Towers.

A hmmm 7.5 this morning……that meter…….or more likely my diet the last few days.

Panic stations, at 10:00 my eldest grandson is due to help, supervise more likely, me make a set of garage steps for a neighbour, lots of sawing, banging, head scratching and probably oh darn it better make that bit again, but like this….
To be honest I’m like a child with a new toy, now I must sign out and run around in excited panic mode.
Remember the stays.

Celtic overtones gennepher, nice touch! D.

I didn't realise, Alf you were a kettle prop manufacturer!

It's the London marathon today and both my sister and daughter are running. Tried but failed to download the app to follow them round. Think it downloaded but can't find it in my phone.
After several days of heavy rainfall the indoor water feature in the loft has reappeared and a new one in the salon has left a decent sized puddle on the hearth. Roll on November when the roofers are coming and please can the clouds roll away until then.
I am engaged in the genteel and time consuming business of cleaning chandeliers. It's taking much longer than I expected and the end result does not look much better. Plan is to repaint them so it's essential to get them clean enough for paint to stick
