What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Greetings one and all. Sufficient unto the day - a saying my grandmother was fond of using - is the theme today. Swipey offered up 5.4. By the Grace of God 8 hr slow cooked brisket on since 5.40; for the first time since moving here Feb 7th 2020 30 mins exercise bike in the converted garage (charity shop Welsh dresser (our boys put the top of ours in a skip:arghh:) storing all sorts and plenty of sport to watch in the comfort of the armchair given by downsizing relatives; fit in steps for 12 hrs and let Monday take care of itself.:woot: Great kaleidoscope @gennepher, thank you. @dunelm thanks in advance for your art. @lindisfel I think that is how the water is heated hence the need to run the heating. Our system has confused every B Gas engineer and the plumber who replaced the toilets, en suite and bathroom. Y'all be kind and gentle, stay safe and fight the good fight.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 7.0 this morning and one very happy meter this morning due to the amount of confusion it’s causing me and me’s.

No sure about today now, due to staying up till 2am binge watching that television series Vigil, spoiler alert “ the butler didn’t do it “ .
How it’s koffy time.
Have a great weekend and stay safe etc, etc.
We watched the final episode last night. We did enjoy the series.

Hi gennepher,
My impression after over 40 years of electrical maintenance is that the equipment is nowhere as robust like it used to be.
So don't buy something more efficient just if you have old but reliable kit.

The day will come when we are forced to changed our boilers.
No doubt their sensitive little souls with cheapo foreign parts will need delicate nursing at great expense.

Reliable stuff is just a design issue.
But simple checks can avert problems if you have an honest man/woman doing your maintenance work.
D.
British Gas have been trying the last 10 years to tell/persuade/push me that my 17 year old boiler needs replacing because the parts won't continue to be available @lindisfel

Well my central heating boiler is still going strong...

And so is this old boiler who wouldn't mind some replacement parts, but she is still going...

I wanted to try some colourful stamps I receive from abroad and make them into a kaleidoscope.
So here it is. The square of blue is an Andy Warhol stamp. The other portrait stamps were Gwen Ifill, Marian Anderson. There was a Purple Heart, and the rest were from a Spring Flowers series.
A lot of kaleidoscopes I do can appear heavy (to me), and I wanted something much lighter and freeing in appearance. Also discovered a couple of new things in Snapseed doing this.

It was really cold last night. I could see loads of stars in the night sky from my bed despite looking through double glazing!

Wonderful kaleidoscope pattern - good for wrapping paper and printed material. Not sure about wallpaper but hey, give it a go.

5.0 this morning. We are walking to our local market town instead of driving to one of our favourite National Trust places as we need to save petrol so I can continue to teaching Norwich.

Sunday lunch is booked at a pub with good reviews (it is the pub that Archie our chocolate Labrador tried to drag me into last time we walked past it). I will also nip into Boots and the Grape Tree while I am there to get some shopping.
Great plan @Krystyna23040. I like Grape Tree for almonds to make milk (yes, I know they pinch too much Californian water but cows emit gasses:arghh:) and flaxseed. Our nearest one now is Ely. Y'all have a good day - sausage roll or not:angelic:

Good morning on a late to rise brisk and sunny morning here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of an up and down night dropped in at 5.8 this am

Girl in the bubble stay over last night but not the usual happy bunny. Up at least twice during the night wailing into the baby alarm at the side of our bed like a manaic alarm clock from the Lunatic clock maker of Lublin. Flu jabs went well. No patient had to wait for more than 5 minutes so I think a goodly number kept to their appointment times.Started at 0745 with my jab and the last person through the door at 17 minutes past one. Today is an unknown - Mrs Miggins and the girl in the bubble are still sleeping.
Quick tree sketch this morning, thanks for the anticipation @ianpspurs. Have a splendid Sunday. Where is that koffy?

The Grape Tree only recently opened in Dereham. I get my Chia Seed Protein powder and psyllium husk there. It has proved to be a very popular store.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, panic stations here in Tilehurst Towers.

A hmmm 7.5 this morning……that meter…….or more likely my diet the last few days.

Panic stations, at 10:00 my eldest grandson is due to help, supervise more likely, me make a set of garage steps for a neighbour, lots of sawing, banging, head scratching and probably oh darn it better make that bit again, but like this….
To be honest I’m like a child with a new toy, now I must sign out and run around in excited panic mode.
Remember the stays.

It's the London marathon today and both my sister and daughter are running. Tried but failed to download the app to follow them round. Think it downloaded but can't find it in my phone.
After several days of heavy rainfall the indoor water feature in the loft has reappeared and a new one in the salon has left a decent sized puddle on the hearth. Roll on November when the roofers are coming and please can the clouds roll away until then.
I am engaged in the genteel and time consuming business of cleaning chandeliers. It's taking much longer than I expected and the end result does not look much better. Plan is to repaint them so it's essential to get them clean enough for paint to stick
