What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I usually don’t bother with low blood sugars when just going into town but when out for the day I carry a couple of baby belle cheeses. Mrs Miggins always has an energy bar in her pocket.

All the best with that roof integrity and hope that you get to see your grandchildren soon enough.

Good morning everyone on tap on, tap off, tap on, tap off sort of start here in the dark and dangerous north.
Electricians have now been and gone so we just wait patiently for all the plaster work to dry. Oh it’s so much fun. Farmers Market on today so a wander round there with a shopping bag may be in order later this morning.
Art bit - Enso - but not in one brush stroke. Have a pleasant Saturday if you can. Best get on with the koffy thing.

5.7 this morning. Really pleased with it as yesterday I went over my normal 23g carbs with extra berries and cashew nuts plus extra cream. I just felt rebellious and didn't want to stick to it - so didn't weigh my food or log it in Fatsecret. I must admit I did enjoy it.

Today I am back on the 'straight and narrow ' and back to my normal eating pattern.

Great painting @dunelm
Enjoy the farmer's market...

Fbg 6.3

A Public Announcement!

I have been waiting one week to see how it went.
I have high hopes for this one.
My baby female bluetit from early last year, when my horrid new neighbour who actually chainsawed into my garden vegetation destroying my bushes and cherry tree destroying birds nests and eggs, and has flown with my sparrows ever since (it was like they adopted and took care of her), has now found someone she is happy with.

I have been anxiously watching over her all year.

Earlier this year a male bluetit came in my garden making overtures to her, and she would have nothing to do with him. Sadly 3 days later, rebuffed and heartbroken, he left. I was heartbroken too. I had a Mama discussion with my little female bluetit. My little female bluetit was never going to find a partner. She was happy flying with the sparrow flock.

That is until a week ago.

She was feeding off the fatballs when in flew a male bluetit. And danced around her. She immediately lit up. And danced around him. Then they did the swirling flying dance in the air. And they have been doing that ever since. She is so happy, and so is he.

He is not as good looking (how shallow I am!) as the absolutely perfectly groomed bluetit that flew in earlier this year. He is untidy looking and scruffy. But when you fall in love, you fall in love.

I am over the moon with this.

They are doing their bluetit flying dance now.

Maybe Mama will have some bluetit grandchildren soon...

So guess what my creative is today...

Rather hasty Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, such a lovely tale of young love @gennepher.
A not unexpected 7.6 this morning.
Later stagger out of bed this morning, rushed breakfast, now medication to take.
Here in Tilehurst Towers the day is spoken for tasks abound, such is life, but time will be found for koffy.
Stay safe all, Mrs J is moving around so I better make her late morning tea or I’m dragon fodder.

Lovely illustration of wild and romantic love

Another, so far Sunny, Saturday in Forest Heath. How you doin? An awful 6.2 on Swipey - 2 points from anything I'm satisfied with (No, Jess it doesn't work for me). There are mitigating factors but that is bg control by diet and exercise failing on its only purpose. Double screening later: Twickers and Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards Stadium while Sky+ ing Spurs V Man U. Wonderful story of love @gennepher. Reminded me of Married at First Sight Australia - JKP enjoys that, don't judge. Thanks for the creative. @dunelm thanks for the art and enjoy the farmers market even with those short arms and deep pockets for which you guys in TD'nDN are famous. Ee, Obidiah, who'd a thought we'd be sitting here etc @SlimLizzy hope the roof is holding up and you really started something here with coffee religiouse. - google time: father, son and holy roast tickled me as people say. No one ever says which people. Segue's nicely into this. You just know I'mma googling* their flakes and the carbs when we just found and started using the (humongous) bean to cup gizmo. @Krystyna23040 you can afford to relax Ma'am so just chill. Go Team D , England X 2 and Spurs.
* Done

Have finished the shopping and now donning work clothes, will be up in the loft soon , after the world's shortest ever coffee break. Poor MrSlim took coffee back to his desk, so no break at all for him.

Its good to break out once in a while, seems to help prevent sending the diet to hell.

Great story and illustration.

I have some idea where Joe Lewis makes all his money but probably should try to find out more about that and how all the "franchises" I follow - football, cricket, rugby, NFL are really funded. I’m also wary of blaming racism or the fact that Ukranians are European and Christian but those thoughts are definitely there. This type of piece has come to my attention a few times in the last few days. Interesting fixture between those two clubs tomorrow for reasons other than football. Dilemma
